Absolutely amuzing! Very well done :D

Those CP'ers did their detective work (Jay Z, Roundhouse in Camden, hmmm), and it paid off...so happy (and jealous) for them!

Very cool ~ seems like everyone is having a good time.

I would love all the pictures and videos of this incredible night, could anyone who took some please PM me so I can get copies?

Were you there, Pete?

I was indeed Miss Smith! It was an absolutely incredible night, one of the very best ever :) Such a party atmosphere, and so wonderful to see so many old friends, recent friends, new friends, and the chocolate buttons of course

<edit> oh I didn't meet Chris, if that's what you meant. I was still at the bar busy trying to get busybeeburns drunk :P

Woweee! You guys... I'm so happy for you all. :D

And have even more awesome fun at the gig, y'all!!!

Fucking awesome, I'm jealous!

It's funny looking at that picture now as it doesn't seem like it happened.

I know it did, but it feels like it's a story someone told me rather than something that happened to me.

Two days standing for 15+ hours at Wembers have fried my brain. :wacky:

Oh and not to rub it in, but I met Phil yesterday...twice :escaping:

Hey!

We've been waiting for you! :)

Aaahh meeting Chris + Phil, lucky you!

You've got to tell us everything ;)

:P

Uhhhhh...okay. I'll try. Haha my brain is frazzled.

Well we were walking back from the awesome CP meetup I saw the billboard for the Jay Z gig at the Roundhouse so we decided to try our luck.

We waited for a while and Chris (Jizo) tried to talk to people and find out any info. We didn't even know if he'd be in there.

The gig kicked out and a load of blacked out cars rolled up, all the "celebs" seemed to be leaving via blacked out cars already in the venue.

It was late and we needed to be up insanely early the next day to queue for Wembley so we were saying we needed to leave before the tube trains stopped.

We dithered for a while, not really paying attention and then Chris (Jizo :P) said "Look there he is!"

He'd been doing this for a good hour, everytime someone cycled past he'd said it was CM so we didn't believe him.

Then he was like "No look it IS him, look at the cap!"

And it was!

So we walked towards him (he was walking in a group of people, flanked by Kelly) and called his name. He looked a little bemused, presumably because we were outside a Jay-Z gig. He looked a little unsure at first but I think because we asked nicely and stayed calm he decided to come say hello :D

My memory gets fuzzy at this point. It happened soooo fast. I remember him coming over and saying "Hey how you doing?" and then offering us his hand :wacky: I remember thinking how big it was (I'm not being dirty here, it really was :P)

One of the Jay Z fans who were hanging around asked him why he didn't perform and he said something like "well I'm not very good at all that"

He asked us if we enjoyed the show, we said we did :P We thought that it was better to pretend we were there  I also bumbled about us being at the Manc gig the Saturday before and that we were going to the two Wembers gigs and he was like "Oh, so you get to see Jay-Z 4 times then!" :nice: So modest.

We asked him for pictures and he was happy to pose, although he put his hood up, I think he didn't want to attract too much attention to himself.

We kinda messed up with the cameras and people so it ended up with there being a few attempts and such. We kept apologising and he was like "hey, I'm here all night" :P

Some stupid Jay-Z fan who just happened to walk past went up and kissed him! Damn her!

Anyway, I'm sure he said more but my mind is fuzzy, he was very courteous but he wasn't well, his voice was very croaky, he was wrapped up like it was winter and you could tell he just wanted to get home and rest.

He said "I have to go, I have work tomorrow"

And then he just walked off around the corner like any other guy (except with a huge bodyguard :P)

:D

Thanks for telling us!

I guess he's got pianist hands!

:veryangry2:

He said "I have to go, I have work tomorrow"

I guess performing every night (or so) is like that for him: just a job...!

Thanks again Mich!

I'm so glad for you!!!

No worries :D

Oh and Phil we met before and after yesterday's gig.

Me and Chris were taking some stuff back to ther hotel so we would be bag free for the run to the front row and as we were coming back we went the long way round and past the crew entrance.

He was just standing there talking to some guys, we waited until he was finished and then just called him.

He said hi and shook our hands (so polite these Devon boys :P) and pointed to our T-shirts and said "Ooooh you're from Coldplaying" :D

We said we were and asked if he minded if we had a picture, I said sorry (again :dozey:) and he was like "it's fine, it's only once every two years I get asked" :D

So the nice roadie he was with took a couple for us.

We were wearing some badges Mel (melanieau) had made, there were various ones I heart Jonny/Will...et al I heart Roadies and a Phil is Hot badge that me and Mel had given to Marta (awesome female roadie) the day before when we'd bumped into her.

Marta had given the badge to Phil who had then given it to his wife

Anyway me and Chris were wearing them and he pointed them out, rather embarrassingly I was wearing a CM hearts JB one which I quickly covered :embarassed:

Anyway he was lovely. We bumped into him on the way out again and he just asked us if we enjoyed the show :nice:

I'd post the picture but it's on Chris' camera and he doesn't get home until the middle of the week.

Here's the extremely poor quality one that Chris tweeted, the original will have to wait I'm afraid.

Awesome story Mich

So is this your first time meeting Chris?

We dithered for a while, not really paying attention and then Chris (Jizo :P) said "Look there he is!"

And it was!

Poor Chris..Nobody believed him when he was telling the truth!

I was wearing a CM hearts JB one which I quickly covered :embarassed:

hahahahaha! :laugh3:

Amazingggggg stories Mich, I wish I could find the words to tell you how jealous I am, but it's impossible :P

I'm glad amazing luck like this came upon such a deserving group of people! :nice:

Awwww, I'm smiling just thinking about it.....I talked to Sweet Cheeks at the San Antonio gig and he couldn't have been more relaxed and adorable. Now If I can just get my chance at my Holy Grail a pic with Chrissy or really any of the boys. Thanks for the deets.
