I think its funny how the National album really kind of was a big surprise on this forum. Obviously we had some National fans on here before, but now it seems like they are one of the most popular and talked about bands this year on coldplaying.

I guess that's just what happens when you come up with something like High Violet :wacky:

Well let's make it official. Too much pre-Christmas graduation stuff to deal with so very sorry, but I simply won't have time to deal with it before Christmas.

So,

All entries must be in by 8:00pm EST on Monday, December 27th.

Also, I'm moving the official cutoff date to December 1st, 2010 to give late-breaking December releases a better chance next year. So eligible albums will have been released starting with Dec 1 2009 and ending with Nov 30th 2010.

^Radiohead, Hey Rosetta!, Coldplay, U2, those are some pretty heavy hitters.

New Hey Rosetta! album. Yes.

Only one Australian album on their Briggins! At least you chose the best one. I think thats one of the best parts about these lists is that you get to pick up a lot of good music that is usually only known in certain countries. The amount of Canadian music I have picked up this year from you is incredible; I otherwise would've had little exposure to it. Another example are the Kiwi bands from Eddie. I might do a reshuffle of my list either tonight or tomorrow.

01. HIGH VIOLET - THE NATIONAL

02. Interpol - Interpol

03. Total Life Forever - Foals

04. Of The Blue Colour of The Sky - OK Go

05. Acolyte - Delphic

06. Immersion - Pendulum

07. The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

08. Love Amongst Ruin - Love Amongst Ruin

09. Foriegn Tapes - Parades

10. Midnight Remember - Little Red

11. Age Of Adz - Sufjan Stevens

12. Surfing The Void - Klaxons

13. Theory Of Everything - Children Collide

14. Odd Blood - Yeasayer

15. The Boxer - Kele

16. Tourist History - Two Door Cinema Club

17. O Children - O Children

18. Netsky - Netsky

19. Ignite - Shihad

20. Barbara - We Are Scientists

21. Work - Shout Out Louds

22. Hurley - Weezer

23. Bright Victory - Cabins

24. Halycon Digest - Deerhunter

25. Contra - Vampire Weekend

^hahah Kanye. Thats a good list eddie.

haha. I wasn't sure where to put it so I played it safe and put it at #1 :P

It's nice to see that people aren't just choosing American & UK bands. Personally I thought this year was extremely good for albums out of the main countries. Some amazing NZ albums, especially

ESPECIALLY THE BRAINS ALBUM BUT THEY'RE DICKS SO THEY WONT EVEN RELEASE IT PROPERLY

except the singer is nice and sent it to me.

I only have 3 non-North American album and only 2 European albums on my list haha. And there is no guarantee they'll make it to my top 25.
