FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010

Featured Replies

Taxi from where, Heathrow? Is your hostel Palmer's Lodge?

When I stayed there in July, and had no clue about the tube I took a taxi from Heathrow... it cost over £70. :dozey:

Yes and yes and okay I guess I'll check the tube maps :P

Taxis cost way too much, I think we're getting the tube from Kings cross to Elephant & Castle tube station then walk to our hotel and probably a taxi to the boat.

I'm really concerned about the weather Heavy snow :bomb:

these trains better keep running and if that boat cancels well I'm gonna be pissed

Why would the boat get canceled? :uhoh: It can still work okay in snow, right?

Okay, I'm gonna take off, see you all tomorrow 3:30 or 5 pm! Can't wait!

I Dunno I was thinking about ice :anxious:

but either way my train may get cancelled

Heavy snow due at 03:00 in Darlington where we are getting the train from plus it's already been a light bit of snow tonight

I would like to express my extreme displeasure at the fact that last-minute, round-trip train tickets from Norwich to London cost fifty-five bloody pounds. That's a pound more than my hotel cost.

TOTALLY WORTH IT, THOUGH .

I'll be in London by 2PM, will get ready at my hotel, and I hope to get to the area early. It looks like a bit of a walk from any tube station, and it's going to be dark...and it's snowing pretty dang hard here in Norwich right now, so I figure this is also a possibility for tomorrow night in London :stunned:.

last minute train tickets tend to cost a bomb...a friend of mine had to pay £49 return for Bristol to London when she bought on the day before her trip. but if you have the 16-25 Railcard (i remember you're a student here at the moment, right?), then you save quite a bit on train ticket fares.

tho this is probably a bit too late to tell you by now if you don't already have it...

So, is anyone coming from a really warm place that never gets snow?

I hope you guys have a blast! :D

Have fun and don't forget about us :wink3:

Im from London, and heavy snow is very rare!! We expect it to lightly snow tomorrow night but nothing major. In response to your questions about the boat, it will be fine!! The last time the river thames froze was 1684, so we will be ok!!!

Look forward to meeting all of you at the pub tomorrow!

Kris

The weather is fine right now! :) Waiting for Evelien :awesome:

I'm so excited for tomorrow, you guys!

My trouble is that the most snow is due where I live in North east england and I may struggle getting to the station :bomb:

Watch out for yellow snow!:laugh3:

Kris

The Swedes will beat you all! Oooh and Carrie, I'm at computer #4. No computer 5 guy :(

EDIT: Not at the yellow snow business... The fighting

The weather is fine right now! :) Waiting for Evelien :awesome:

I'm so excited for tomorrow, you guys!

Same here. And snow forecast for tonight. Can't wait. So excited that I have trouble eating and sleeping. See you tomorrow. :sunny:

Sorry guys, I'm still not very familiar with the transport in London :/ Can I take the Northern Line to London Bridge from Holborn Station?

take the central line to Bank, then change to the Northern line and its one stop to London Bridge

Congratulations for the 100 lucky persons and enjoy yourselves tomorrow and bring us back some great memories  What a great idea Coldplay and their team had!

I'm not going to be able to follow any live updates. . . because it's Thanksgiving and I'm traveling. :bomb:

It'll be a great Thanksgiving for y'all though. :wacky:

I currently have 40p credit left no free internet on my phone and the internet in the hotel is apparently 'slow and expensive' so I doubt I'll be able to keep everyone up to date

wow! tommorow has come so quick! like u guy's i am to excited to eat and doubt i will sleep tonight! so will see u all at the pub !! :-) ♥

I'll probably be updating Twitter all day tomorrow... So you can follow what's going on there (shameless pimpage I know :p)

According to the weather forecast on the BBC. There's not going to be snow in London tomorrow... It says potential for going cold though at -1 degrees. Brrr. (Also no snow here so the trains should be fine).

I will see you all tomorrow. Hopefully I will see some of you at the pub beforehand. If not, I'll see you all on the boat! EXCITE!

My sleeping pattern is so upside down that I just woke up,

which means (with it being 20:40pm) that I'm not going to sleep again until after the boat trip.

that's how close it is... intense. funny to think that there are coldplayers flying to London as we speak.
