November 28, 201015 yr Every single time I see "Crests of Waves" somewhere I'm all like "wat they got the title wrong". :|
November 28, 201015 yr SPARKS. SPARKS. SPARKS. It's not my favorite Coldplay song, but it's one I don't see talked about much at all. I've seen a live video or two of it (not many exist), and it's drop-dead gorgeous.
November 28, 201015 yr Politik, really??? They played it at every concert for the past three tours and it's one of Martin's favourites... I agree with Crests of Waves; Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant... I would like to add See you soon; A Spell A Rebel Yell; Don Quixote; Life is for Living; 1'36. And I think Viva la Vida is, on Coldplaying, underrated!!
November 28, 201015 yr When I first got into Coldplay, the first song I really really liked besides "Clocks" and their more famous tunes was "Daylight." I loved that song. Of course, then I went on to get all their albums and I realized almost every song of theirs is amazing. But anyways, I never seem to hear anybody mention Daylight as one of their favorite Coldplay songs. Other underrated songs include: Prospekt's March/Poppyfields Swallowed by the Sea Death and All His Friends/The Escapist Amsterdam On the other hand, though, among all us Coldplay fans, a lot of these songs may not seem underrated just because we are all so familiar with them!

I've seen a live video or two of it (not many exist), and it's drop-dead gorgeous. I saw that song live twice, and it was beautiful  it's definitely a great song
November 28, 201015 yr Prospekt's March/Poppyfields should be on there! THIS. Prospekt's March is my favorite coldplay song, i got a lyric from it tattooed on my arm last summer:smug:
November 28, 201015 yr Things I Don't Understand is one of those songs that I listen to and ask myself, "how in the hell was this left of the album?" Im not saying that it should have been a single but I do think that it would have made a perfect album track in both theme and sound. In the end though the band left it off and I guess that is what makes it so special to me... a hidden gem and an amazing extra to the X&Y era when Im in the mood to revisit those days. If you have not heard this track yet I highly recommend it (especially if you love X&Y)
November 28, 201015 yr Author Prospekt's March/Poppyfields should be on there! God! How did I ever forget that one! It's definitely one of their best songs, and IMO it should have been a single , along with Glass Of Water! They deserved videos. Politik, really??? They played it at every concert for the past three tours and it's one of Martin's favourites... I agree with Crests of Waves; Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant... I would like to add See you soon; A Spell A Rebel Yell; Don Quixote; Life is for Living; 1'36. And I think Viva la Vida is, on Coldplaying, underrated!! Hahahaha I know, I get it, Politik is played every time but I believe it should have been a single. AROBTTH should have had at least 2 more singles. Not that the 4 ones weren't already perfect though. And yeah I agree about See You Soon. :) And Viva La Vida is underrated here. It is such a unique song, I still get chills when I hear it. When I first got into Coldplay, the first song I really really liked besides "Clocks" and their more famous tunes was "Daylight." I loved that song. Of course, then I went on to get all their albums and I realized almost every song of theirs is amazing. Daylight is indeed amazing. :) Damn, I should have made an "overrated songs" thread instead, I seem to like so many of their songs :)
November 28, 201015 yr A Message is absolutely wonderful. Next to Shiver, it is my favorite CP song. Needless to say, I was incredibly happy when they played it for Hope for Haiti. :) Death and All His Friends, as well as Ladder to The Sun, are also superb.
November 28, 201015 yr I agree about Death and all his friends, Swallowed in the Sea and Prospekt's March :awesome: Overrated songs? Mhh hard to say, and it could start Coldplaying's WW1... :D But great idea :D I would say Clocks (please dont hurt me :escaping:)
November 28, 201015 yr High speed yup, yup, that's another. I used to be guilty of skipping it, but lately I've really been getting into quality bass lines and this is up there. Though their best bass line is 'Everything's not lost'
November 28, 201015 yr THIS. Prospekt's March is my favorite coldplay song, i got a lyric from it tattooed on my arm last summer:smug: Which lyric? Adore Prospekt's March too.
November 28, 201015 yr yup, yup, that's another. I used to be guilty of skipping it, but lately I've really been getting into quality bass lines and this is up there. Though their best bass line is 'Everything's not lost' Seems like we have a similar taste I would also agree to A whisper, it has such a dynamic instrumentalization and the focus is not on Chris' voice for a change.
November 28, 201015 yr all of the ones I agree with have been said before Sparks ... mmmmm its like a waltz, slow, soft, beautiful .... Its the 4th most played song on my itunes library. See You Soon ...Another underrated favorite that I adore..... The lyrics fot me perfectly to. Swallowed in the Sea ... is one of those songs that start out kinda slow but oh man.... when it picks up in the middle!!! >.< A Message One of their best love songs for sure <3 Crests of Waves Love <3 Green Eyes ...even if I didnt have green eyes I would love this song as much as I do Its kinda like... folk music ... which I also love :nice: whenever I felt like crap I'd play it and pretend it was about me. Always made me feel better. Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground So simple, peaceful, beautiful I wouldve liked VLV a whole lot more if this was on it.
November 28, 201015 yr Cemetries of London and Death And All His Friends. Oh, and Swallowed in the Sea, White Shadows & Square One.
