I watched the video again and I gotta say it's probably one of their best...not sure why you guys have a problem with it.

At the very least, what is so much worse about this than about the video for in My Place, or Clocks, or Speed Of Sound, which is pretty much just an artsy version of the band pretending to play instruments? At least this video sort of had a plot.

 

Anyways, I think some people take music videos far too seriously. So what if it's just a bunch of flashing lights and dancing? As long as the editing is done well it's a good video. It's not a movie.

The "Lovers in Japan" video was extremely flashy and jumpy and yet I still liked it. But this is more of a random rave mixed with tweens jumping and kissing. I'm mainly disappointed because in spite of my immense dislike for the album, "Charlie Brown" is one of the few tracks I legitimately enjoy on it.

 

The band hasn't really had a good "storytelling" video since GPASUYF way back when, and that's okay since a lot of them have come up with creative ideas to overcome that. I wasn't a huge fan of a lot of the songs on Viva either, but I thought all the music videos for those songs were great (I think LiT2 is a very overrated song but I think the music video with the puppets is still awesome), so it's not just my distaste for MX speaking here.

I don't think it is a horrible video, but the dry humping and omnomnom face eating is a bit out of place, as well as the grand theft auto. I mean, yay for felony? Being rebellious doesn't mean you have to be a criminal ya know.

Yehh i feel this is completely true... like yu said those aspects are out of place but i like the video because it's upbeat and optamistic and it celebrates young couples

except they actually have great videos... that are better than CB. I think CB is alright but it's not great and it's not bad. The Scientist was so good. LiJ is good Uh... Paradise was actually sooo good, Fix You.......... There's a bunch of examples of great videos that Coldplay have done. CB, unfortunately is not.
