  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

here's Regina Spektor's cover of No Surprises... I think it's pretty good, a whole lot better than Peter Gabriel's cover of Street Spirit :P

:surprised: Is this for real?

Pleasepleaseprettyprettypleasewithacherryontop a couple of European festivals this summer? :sweatdrop:

^ yeah I know !!! I nearly died reading this too :bomb:

but, why is this in the Radiohead thread?

I didn't like Regina S's cover of No Surprises. It kind of bored me. I think I just love the original too much to be able to enjoy any cover of it. I usually like her stuff though!

The Friday and Sunday lineups are sick. Saturday, not so much.

Suddenly I thought it was last flowers. Don't like it much. I like her, but she doesn't have the same emotivity as Yorke.

Maybe they will come back to the US for some summer shows?!?!

...yes i'm being greedy :P

Ambition makes you look pretty uggly ^^

Sunday lineup is superb. Gah, I wish I could go!

I think it's real but don't know if AFP have confirmed it already.

This means that the European tour will take place

A) in July.

B) in late August/early September.

I am ready for atoms for peace to be over.

Yeah, it's not like I am against this project. In fact, I quite liked it when it began. I've just grown indifferent towards it. Not anti atoms for peace, just very pro radiohead.

Hmm OK. I understand now why this was posted in this thread :shame:. I didn't know about Atoms For Peace.

It's confirmed now through the Fuji Rock website.

Yes, please.

Edit: apparently it's gonna be a one-off thing. nopompom.gif

Just came here to post that. :( But that means Radiohead will record and/or rehearse, right? Right? :uhoh:

Yes, that's what their manager apparently said, they're going to focus on the new album.

I guess that's good news, but DAMMIT THOM GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE. :whip:

:bigcry:

you know usually i hate it when members from my favourite bands run off to do pointless side projects (*cough*jackwhite*cough*) but in this case im actually quite enjoying this whole project, maybe because its members from 2 of my favourite bands together.

but yeah bring on new radiohead. and australia's splendour in the grass is on the same 3 days as fuji rock and its line up is much much better.

I'd have to overall agree with the consensus for new Radiohead. I mean it is going to be 3 years since In Rainbows this year. It seems like they have a lot of material to work with and I'm so excited for a new album.

However I do still like this Atoms for Peace project. I think it's vital to Radiohead's survival in the sense that it gives the members a much needed break from each other. Also I'm glad that this side project has turned out for the better. I can't think off the top of my head but I'm sure there have been band side projects that have gone sour. So to have this band work so well with eachother and have chemistry on stage is a great thing. Plus it allows Thom to be more creative and do his own thing outside of Radiohead (more electronica/dance-rock, which is probably what the band doesn't want to soley focus on)

I wish Atoms for Peace would have:

1. Picked a better band name AND

2. Released a new album to tour behind

Touring behind the Eraser is just tired to me.

So I saw the Album Leaf live last night (by the way they were so good!), and before one of the opening bands came on they of course play just songs. Well These Are My Twisted Words came on and it sounded so awesome (the PA system/speakers made it sound so full)!
