Danceteacher
Pink. Because I think her voice is underestimated - in "Dear Mr. President" it's just amazing. A good counterpart to Chris ;)
MichMoch
Definitely Chris Martin on his own... But if they really needed female vocals I'd go for one of these: Natalie Imbruglia, Adele, Florence Welsh, Bat For Lashes, or even The Pierces. But absolutely not the other sheep known as Rihanna. LoryABjerre
Absolutely Rihanna and I am not a stupid sheep, to choose the voice of Rihanna and Rhianna on Coldplay

Abracadabra
I don't like the idea of their songs having any featured artists. Me neither. offtopic: I love your signature
hak
not heard it yet so i don't know who would work well. liking that it is Rihanna as i like her but i think other choices could haave been p!nk, ana matronic [of scissor sisters] or [the current queen of pop] lady gaga
Prospector
I like Rihanna...but not with Coldplay! I'd rather if there weren't featured artists on theire songs but if I HAD to choose Lily Allen could do it.
taameen**sparks**
Robyn I agree. My other choices were Florence Welsh, Shakira, The Pierces, and Sara Bareilles. edit: Jessica Staveley-Taylor :wacky:
Destrokk
I'm still really upset by this that I'm on the edge of just losing respect for Coldplay..

ColdplayingfromKansas
Well, I trust Coldplay's judgement and I also trust that they have a good reason for choosing Rihanna over the countless other talented female artists of today, so I'm going to say that Rihanna is the best choice  However, if it had been up to me, I would have gone for Chris alone (or in a duet will Will, Guy, or Jonny if necessary . . . off topic: We need moar love for Guy's vocals  ) or if a female vocal was vital: Sara Bareilles. Strawberry-Swing
I adore florence I'm not sure how she would mix with chris's voice but she is amazing and has really powerful songs like coldplay. I know many people aren't a fan of the new direction coldplay seems to be going with more electronic and pop sounds and I think long time coldplay fans like myself who would like to hear more of their old sound (though I love the new stuff too) would be fans of a florence colaboration
admnistramation
Bjork could pass off as Chinese. They should have gotten an oriental singer if anyone else. But yeah, methinks Rihanna might have been a good choice.

Ronnie O Sullivan
Ive listened to a few songs of Rihanna today and i have to admit, that she is a good choice for the song ! I think if her voice is going to be a bit like a young girl,it will fit perfectly to the song. Especially if Chris´voice is more deep... :)
Guest howyousawtheworld
Alicia Keys would have been fine. But I agree with Prospektor - Lily Allen would have been really good.
Mister MX
Ellie Goulding would've been good in my opinion, but Rhianna will be fine! I'm sure the lads have made the right decision for the song which is what ultimately matters...
Brent
I'd say it was fine on its own, but Florence's voice would be awesome :awesome:
Kiame
I'd say it was fine on its own, but Florence's voice would be awesome :awesome: Right, because Florence's voice is far more suited to a rnb-pop fusion song than Rihanna's is. Florence also has an exotic voice that is suited to the song. Wait. None of those things are true! ;)
TwistedPolitik
Florence Welch would have got me looking forward to it more. She seems like she'd fit in well considering the stuff we've heard IMO
