I just try to download Live 2012 and a virus come up! This is a good lesson  I'm going to wait Monday! :D

I'm really glad that you guys enjoyed the film, and I can't wait to get it on DVD! I went to the theater tonight only to be told that they had technical difficulties with the equipment they received with the film and couldn't show it. To say I was bummed would be a massive understatement. Now all I can do is patiently wait for my DVD to get here. Great reviews.

"IT's GONNA BE A FUCIN GOOD ONE, BOYS ! "

One word: AMAZING! I watched myself not to burst out singing, just sang under my breath! I have never paid $12 for a movie plus parking and the toll to get there. Only for them!

So I saw it at the Movie Tavern which allows you to order meals and adult beverages :) There were some old couples in front of us knocking them back and lets just say I felt like I was back in the Toyota Center with the old drunk people! This lady handed out glow sticks to all 12 of us in the theater and then she danced and waved her hands around during viva la vida, it was quite amusing! I was really annoyed at the theater with their poor poor sound quality, all through out the movie their speakers were fuzzy and had that annoying crackling sound :veryangry2:

Oh the movie. Sigh. I really enjoyed the camera work, well done on that front, but the best parts were when they had the voice overs of the guys and the behind the scenes clips, those were the special moments. My heart melted when Will was talking about being in Las Vegas and getting a call that one of his kids was in hospital. :( You felt their joys and their triumphs and then you felt their lows and sorrows. I really enjoyed it and yes the end car scene just made me smile! Great film! Can't wait to get my DVD in the mail! It will probably arrive before my calendar does..

Just came back from the movie premier! I really liked the film and the xylobands are so pretty. My brother said "They must have spend so much money on making those and then for people to take them home." I said "They bought the firm that makes them but yeah" The only thing that I did not like about the film was that it focused so much on Paris. I wanted to see maybe more Madrid and other places. I want to go see them again but luckly, I'll be able to do that once I get my dvd lol :nice:

omg yes! in my theater people were drinking heavily and randomly I would hear random noises! I didnt like the SMG layout since people were having full meals and crap, and some drunk lady would start laughing really loud anytime Chris would laught. But nonetheless I had a blast

My crowded was so freaking quiet!

The Film was the best!

Now the wait for the DVD :) !

Heads up guys, album has leaked! I recommend the mods to go on a witch hunt!

I just got back and all I can't say is: omfg i'm seeing them in three months! Squeee :bomb:

But here's a proper review:

The film is so amazing! Really! I got really teary-eyed and goosebumps during MX (if I hadn't gone with my mum I think I would have cried! :P) Loved the film parts between the songs, but a little more of Phil wouldn't hurt! The backstage images were very good also (not extremely private, but a little more than just the backstage room) and I loved hearing them tell what they feel and think.

Audience wise: it was pretty calm, I could see some people really wanted to get up and dance; but it was mostly only quiet singing and occasionally clapping from some persons. Plus the quiet giggles whenever the elephant costume came up and the "omg! askjdsj" noises from girls whenever Guy came on

And the random message after the credits

I loved it! I can't wait to see it again!

My review:

The movie: Awesome, very well done.

The show: About a dozen people, pretty quiet. They screwed up the sound at the start, and cut off the video at the end just before the final bow.

Just got home from seeing it. Amazing. My girlfriend and I were the only ones in the theatre so it was like we were having our own private screening! Who was it that they thanked right after the band's names but before the credits?

Best thing I've ever seen on a cinemascreen. Ever.

This. :D:D

I am so sorry that you didn't get to see it yesterday Sharon. That sucks big time

OK our cinema was packed.. (No I am joking... there was five people including ourselves!) but they didn't advertise it, nothing in any of their outside banners and no tv advertising whatsoever, so I guess it was to be expected. Plus we went to the later screening. 10pm. I hope they had a few more earlier.

But the film was awesome. I loved every minute. I wish that there had been a more 'party' atmosphere, but no matter at least I saw it.

I won't spoiler it for anyone who couldn't see it yesterday, but if you are getting the DVD, you won't be disappointed. :D

Aw sorry to hear that! Nearly happened to my screening as well - blue screen twice with just sound, finally on the third attempt the picture came up as well. Thank god for that. Honestly though I was the only Coldplayer at my screening, everyone else was there because Tuesdays are happy hour nights at the cinema :veryangry2: Everyone seemed largely disinterested but I was at the edge of my seat all along.

My first impression was WOW, in my lifetime I want to go to a concert like the one at Paris, and stand at the stage when I'm at it. The scale, the enthusiasm, the pretty girls :), everything looked just so grand and amazing...and you guys were LOUD as well! My teeny tiny Seattle concert just pales in comparison.

Like everyone else said, I am very pleased with the production values, the editing and the directing of this film - everything was very slick and felt right. The documentary clearly showed everyone's roles within the band...especially highlighting Chris the enthusiastic clown and Will the, well, champion! I loved how Jonny's eyes just lit up at so many points and Guy just looked around in awe of the audience. It was amazing living a concert through their eyes, and I truly appreciate the effort all of them, including Phil and the roadies put into making the concert such a memorable experience for us. I loved all the shots of the audience, real people like us, having the time of their life. Plus, Chris describing eyesex...wowza.

The only misstep is the omission of the songs we all know about, and hopefully those are DVD extras. I also understand why they went with the venues that they did, I guess, but it would have been nice to acknowledge the other places they went to on the tour as well.

- Thought they showed a silhouette of Apple during HLH?

- How did they walk around the Chicago lakefront and not be approached?

- Guess they didn't use the San Francisco kite shots...

And yes, my stupid cinema did cut out the last part after the credits. They didn't even let the credits roll all the way.

I can't wait to analyze everything on the DVD! I have officially spent a lot of money on Coldplay this year.

It was amazing!!!!!! Best Band ever, I know why I love them sooooooooo much......:wacky:

Phil Harvey!

Thanks for all your reviews folks, I'll get as many as I can on a new main site article later today :)

I went to Sacramento's Tower Theatre tonight to see our beloved boys. Took the bus at 5.16h, had to switch to another bus and was finally there at 6.30pm, one hour before the concert - just in case, if maniac coldplayers would have decided to storm the cinema. They didn't. All in all it was maybe 30 people in the huge, old school movie theatre at the beginning of the show. The sound wasn't that great - especially in the beginning - so I'm looking forward to playing the bluray on my big tv with the good sound system in my livingroom :D

I had a tough day so I was just happy to fall back into the chairs and enjoy the movie without any singing, dancing and clapping. Luckily, all the other people in the theatre decided to enjoy it in quite admiration too. During GPASUYF the picture suddenly went black and we could only hear the sound. Took a little while until they had fixed it so we got to listen to that awesome live rendition twice - but only SAW it once :laugh3: I was 100% certain that Roadie 42's guitar head camera video would make the cut and there it was, during the last interview bit. Loved the intermissions whereas with other concert movies I don't like them, find them disrupting and skip them usually. Here they were woven into the matter nicely, all in all the movie is filmed, cut and edited superbly, absolute top notch. But what else is to be expected from our beloved boys?

I really loved the grainy, dirty Violet Hill at the smaller venue - the energy was breathtaking. All in all the whole movie is powering through some really exhausting 90 minutes. I kind of missed a spot to catch your breath besides the interview snippets and maybe UATW. Warning Sign really would have helped here - what a shame it didn't make the cut. :\

I thought Viva la Vida could have been a little better, maybe taking Glastonbury's version wasn't the right choice there. It's still awesome though, I'm complaining on very high standards here.

Before I saw the movie I was very skeptical about showing different venues in one concert movie but I think, again, they did that in a very nice and charming way and it wasn't disruptive at all.

This movie has moments to laugh, moments to cry (for joy, love or sentimentality) and during these moments I just sat there with a huuuge grin from one ear to another, shivering of goosebumps again and again. This is a must-buy for everyone who loves good music, colours and terrific editing. And probably the best concert dvd out there (although, Led Zeppelins The Song Remains The Same is pretty good too - as is David Gilmours Remember That Night)

Well, please stop!! I can't think at this...i didn't go even if i lived very very near to cinema gaumont. I cried before going bed:(

But the film waas grat and thanks for the posts you write, we can know more XD XD

It was amazing!

There was only one single screening in our country. It was in the biggest hall of the cinema for about 470 people and it was almost full! I saw a few xylobands around me and we applauded at the end.

I loved every second and was a bit sad when it ended, but the ending about chocolate buttons made me laugh so hard!

So, what can I say! Definitely amazing but not unusual, same as when I saw them live. I spend so much time listening to the albums and all that, these snippets don't really do a lot for me.

The film was OK, some of the editing was rubbish, too many songs missing, too much rihanna hmmm. I also noticed the film looked upscaled.

It's a shame cold play didn't get someone better to film this. Plus, why weren't any of the UK shows in there? It's a wasted opportunity, especially on the blu-ray. We could have bought the concerts which meant the most to us, as well as this compilation.

I'd rate the film 7/10. I hope some people agree with my points.

Taz

I LOVED IT!!!!! :D So glad I got to see it in the cinema, altho there were only about 30 people there and it was very quiet, I just wanted to get up and dance! But it looked awesome on the big screen, the music was really loud and it really conveyed the atmosphere of being there. Their concert this year in London was the best I've ever been to and it took me right back there. The Stade de Paris looks fantastic and when the Xylobands light up for Charlie Brown, it takes your breath away :stunned:

I played Coldplay all the way home really loudly! I was DESPERATE to see them again live before this and am even more desperate now!!!
