I really don't care about the words, but the music is beautiful.

Daylight , AROBTTH , Us against the world, Green eyes(it's growing on me a little)

I always found that odd.

 

It was at a time where people were desperate to hear any material off of MX that they could. Any new song would've probably got the same reaction. Heck, I still want a clear live recording of that first performance as it was a completely different arrangement. (it was not a duet, and Jonny was on an accoustic guitar)

I never understood everyone's love for Fix You for the longest time, until one day it kind of hit me. Some songs probably need to be listened to at the right time.

 

My least favourite songs are probably Shiver and Lost, I mostly tend to skip them :uhoh:

There is only one song by Coldplay I cannot listen to ever: A Spell A Rebel Yell :dead:

i mean, i don't think it's a bad song at all. i love Chris's voice in the studio version.

but i just like it less than every other Coldplay song. :P

Least Favorite Coldplay Songs

 

My least favorites are Lost and Speed of Sound. I feel like the actual music in Lost doesn't flow very well with the singing. Although, the piano version of Lost is just wonderful :smug: And I sorta feel the same way about Speed of Sound, nothing flowed very well. I recently heard an acoustic version Speed of Sound at one of their concerts and I absolutely loved it! :D

Cannot believe some of the answers on here! Some of my favourite Coldplay songs have been mentioned. I HEAR THE SOUND OF THE TICKING OF CLOCKS....A Whisper is great!

 

Chinese Sleep Chant is one of the best things Coldplay have done, and I'm surprised I'd never really discovered A Spell A Rebel Yell before..love it!

 

Anyway here are my least favourites...

 

Lost, Life in Technicolor II, Strawberry Swing, ETIAW, Princess of China, Up In Flames.

 

Still like them all. When it comes to Coldplay criticism everything is relative!

No offense guys but some of you are slightly hypocritical. When PoC was played live before Mylo came out , the majority here called it the best of the new songs. And then the hatred.

 

From first time I listened to PoC I say that it's an abomination. Really. For me would be better if they NEVER record it.

Yes I think is this...I think is this way for every song...you can't love a song if you don't find yourself and your life in it.

 

Fix You it's my song, I love it more than every other song in the world because every line, every single word, speak about me...well the whole X&Y does it :laugh3:

I really don't like In My Place that much, I tend to skip it. I only connect positive feelings with the live version of it because of the Chris/Jonny love all over it :awesome:

Brothers&Sisters is one of the songs I don't like.. And maybe Lhuna.

 

Maybe one day AROBTTH will grow on me like Spies , Amsterdam, and Politik did.

I like Brothers&Sisters and I love Lhuna I wish it was released properly.

That used to be my least favourite too..until I actually listened to it, now I like it

Lost + definitely.

And of course POC with Rihanna's voice on it - I think without her annoying whine and accent I would like it.

i don't like paradise , i hate the para para part it's a little annoying in my opinion but i have to admit it's better the live version that the studio version , and i don't like poc sometimes i listen to it and like it then i hate again i don't know why :dozey:

It's also a bland song instrumentally, even if it's one of the few post-AROBTTH songs to give Jonny a decent solo opportunity.

Well I love most of the songs you quoted but it's ok everyone's entitled to their opinion :P

 

It's weird how people are trying to defend songs that others posted here, when even the title of the thread explicitly says that really what you post is subjective and a matter of opinion :lol:

 

I need to listen to all the b-sides before I make up my mind on this.

I like A Whisper and Daylight, those songs are great!

My least favorite song is Spies. Six years later, I still can't listen it.
