That´s something Coldplay know how to deal with...they just never make the same album twice and re-invent everything. I am sure LP6 will follow this trend. The secret to topping your past successes, is well not to try at all and make a brand new success :)

I think Mylo Xyloto is fantastic and they've made the mx tour f***ing amazing. I do however think they'll improve, they do every time.

I don't know how they can top MX tour performances... But they will!

I hear a lot of non Coldplay people saying their songs sound the same. WHAAAAAT? In fact, each album is very different from the previous one. I also hear lots of complaining that people want the "old" Coldplay back, and I say to them, over and over, did you want Parachutes five times over? They would not be where they are if they made four more Parachutes.

Interesting they have the name but doesn't really mean much. Other than that it might put the kibosh on anyone thinking there'd be an EP.

Why are some people here scared they would not be as good as MX and before, I'd love if they go on in a smaller way.

I cant fucking wait for LP6, but at the same time, im not in a rush to hear it... want the boys to craft something equaly brilliant to their other albums, and, ive far from exhausted Mylo Xylotos play count... another album too soon after MX would over shadow it unfairly

At this point I'm not really anxiously waiting for LP6, but it's nice to know they are alredy working on it.

As someone who wasn't overly amazed w/ MX, this is music to my ears.

 

Really, really hope they do something with a Prospekts March feel to it. Someone mentioned Glass of Water.... YES PLEASE!

people keep saying this, but it's not like they whipped out MX in two seconds flat and then threw it at the fans.

in fact, if you were to look at the time in between the releases of the two so-called "best" Coldplay albums (Parachutes and AROBTTH), its the shortest period of ANY of the waits between albums...

I honestly think that the new album is probably them just recording some final songs and mixing what's been dished out between the Viva and Mylo Eras. Makes for a pretty good mix of another piano driven album :P
