When do you guys think the next single will be out?

When do you guys think the next single will be out?

 

Research suggests they might release 2 singles before an album release (as with Parachutes and MX era), but it is unlikely imo since they don't have as many tracks as usual so i'd spread releases out a bit more if I were them. Though it's not impossible for them to release another single, i'd handicap it as 'unlikely'.

*Dates from wikipedia but im not counting Midnight as a single. Wiki counts it as a single because its being released for Record Store day. Also, Midnight is still being referred to as a "song" on the band website whereas Magic is being referred to as "the first single".

Import, Japanese release. Amazon.co.jp mentions something about bonus tracks.

So Amazon will sell the imported Japanese version in other markets at $37.98 for those who want to get the bonus tracks?

Really not concerned about not getting the bonus tracks. We'll get the bonus tracks, probably in the form of a special/deluxe edition alongside dvd material released on the same day or just after the release date.

I guess. I don't know what bonus tracks because that isn't mentioned.

If the lyrics are intentionally simplistic, that still doesn't make it okay necessarily. Suede did the same thing on Head Music for a different reason to the theories above (to make the songs more "pop"-sounding and to create a carefree mood) and it's generally seen by their fans as one of the worst creative decisions in their career.

Always in my Head is maybe there most perfect song ever, i really like the trans you get in because of the lyrics.

I dunno I think if that's what's in the mans heart to write either simplistic or poetic then it's what he should right no matter how simple some of the songs they have meaning unlike half the BS singers these days . I'm expecting great things from the album . Chris really is an amazing writer. Passion heart and soul into each song . I think by the time we hear the whole album it'll all make sense ! When midnight first came out I was really confused, now I absolutely love it ! I'm pretty impressed that he's even writing such a personal album . I dunno I think there's a lot more on its way . I have the same reaction to chris as I do to bono on a lyrical level you feel like they mean and believe in what they sing! Can't wait for may 19

Well normally i hate most simplistic songs, but here it works.

I think that although the lyrics may come across as simple, it's not necessarily a reason to disregard the power of the music. A few powerful words are better than a whole song of nonsense. Given the extremely creative art and use of imagery that goes along with the album, I think there's more to the music than meets the ears. For example, in the album art for "magic" there are two symbols printed on a book superimposed on the dove. If u feel like it, look up the symbology

A Sky Full of Stars will be released on May 5th. It will be the second single from #GhostStories (via @coldplayzoneit)

So I was wrong, they will release another single right before the album according to that tweet. I still think its a bad idea. Why wouldn't I wait an extra 2 weeks and get the whole album? Whatever, i'm not complaining too much, just a curious tactic.

So the last 2 weeks are going to be epic, new (epic?) single + the hype + the possibility of a leak.

I read on twitter that A Sky Full of Stars is the spiritual substitute of Yellow, so epic is not enough.

i cant wait for this album really. Always in my Head is sooooo good.
