Holy shit this song is absolutely EPIC! I totally didn't expect anything like this. Why the hell wasn't it on the album?!

 

Guys have you figured out the lyrics yet? Because it sounds really interesting.

Absolutely agree with both points made.

I guess im the only one who doesnt like this song. For me I really expected this song to be soft and melodic sort of like oceans considering what they are talking about. Second the melody is very repetitive. I must admit bias though because to me this song sounds too much like country music and I dont like country. Its not a bad song, but definitely not one of my favorites

I think that's the secret to Coldplay's B-sides. They always cut out 1 or more brilliant tracks outside an album, just to keep them special.

Yeah but this is just too good don't you think?! Its probably the most interesting track from the era because theres so much going on. I don't mind All Your Friends and O 2 being left out but this song is just so great. And to think millions of people wont hear it when the album is released is madness!

I think the "a secret (?)" is "a secret that nobody knows.... no one ever hears." It was written on the album artwork.

And also the "once upon try to raise your voice" i believe is "whats the point of trying to raise your voice"

And "when you dug a little near" sounds like "when you dont believe im here"

Perhaps it is the excitment of discovering a new record but IMO this song is one of the best that they ever made.

 

I cannot explain why this song is so special to me, in fact its like a mix of all of their greatest B-sides..

In fact GS is just too short, 40 minutes, but in his way is a cool journey and I don't see this tracks making part of that journey... they are good songs but just not fit. Maybe they're just only a trailer of what is coming up, AROBTTH #2...
