May be generalizing a bit but seeing as it seems they're filming a video in India I immediately thought of British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club who recently made a very good record with some Indian flare to it. Thought it could be really interesting what Coldplay's take could be on this kind of sound and personally, think they can do something really cool with it. Here's one of Bombay Bicycle Club's songs where you can really tell the inspiration that comes from Indian music.

Thought exactly the same! 'Feel' is a banger and BBC's recent album So Long See You Tomorrow is one of my favourite records ever! I hope theres some indian flare in the new album and I hope its an Eno record as well

It appears that at least Rik's mixing on the album was finished on August 14 as per his post in his personal blog.

I feel one song (probably the first single) will have an Indian vibe and aesthetic to it. I can't really see them sustaining this for an entire album, so maybe it'll be a Viva-type record where all the songs will sound different? I can definitely see them experimenting with different sounds/instruments from all over the world.

EXCITING TIMES!!! Definitely see the single being released with the video by the end of the month and an album coming in October or November. Just my predictions.
