but I hope the rest of us are too when they don't play Warning Sign for Hymn for the Weekend.

I'm ok with it as long as they are playing it during the stadium tour.

haa, well, they played it during the MX tour already, so that's enough for me, even though it's one of my favs.

If they're gonna be playing some old fan favs, i'd like to see them bring out something from the laid back Parachutes album, like Sparks or something for the b-stage, acoustic set.

I'm ok with that as well. I've seen Warning Sign during the MX tour, too. Not a must this time around.

Anything old and classy is fine.

No NOT that kind of memorable.

I mean like good memorable like putting an old song in the set list:D

V v difficult.

I expect atleast two songs from the new album.

That leaves max 4 other songs which would most probably be ASFOS or somethng from MX, Yellow, Charlie brown/Paradise, Clocks.

Dont think we'll have any place for songs like warning sign, in my place or scientist kind of songs.

I'd say that the attackers are just basing their claims off one or two songs.

And no matter how uncool they are, just remember that C, J, G, W, and P are laughing all the way to the bank.

My issue is when ppl attack the ppl in the band 'cause I really do think they are one of the nicest ppl in music and they don't deserve to get shat on just 'cause you don't like their music.

I hear ya...but welcome to planet Earth, where people think and say what they will about you. lol I used to get kinda upset about it too but I figured you just have to live with it, no reason bothering about something you cant control. As long as you know you´re truth, thats what matters. Im pretty sure the boys know that too :)

I'd say Viva, 'cause that's when they had more vocal and public backing from other big name stars.

I agree thats probably where they most were known, cuz of Viva the single as well. Though I must say they got more backing now than ever in terms of "big name stars". Even "the chief" put his Hancock on the new album hehe

They're basing it off what society tells them to say. I would wager a majority havent even really heard a Coldplay song in their lives. Just like how I haven't heard a song by Justin Bieber so i'm not gonna say his music sucks.

I see what you mean. But it's just that in my eyes, these guys deserve the hate the least.

But as a fanbase, we gotta be realistic. They aren't playing this song for existing fans. They're playing it to gain new fans. As an existing fan, i'm okay with the realities of it, but I hope the rest of us are too when they don't play Warning Sign for Hymn for the Weekend.

Am I the only one who dont wanna see any song like "Warning Sign" ? Mind you, I love the song, but I expect the show to be colourful and vibrant. Im an existing fan and I´d still much rather see ASFOS or Hymn than The Scientist at this particular show

iunno, Noel's name doesnt quite have the weight it should in the US...

Agreed. Poor example on my part. Warning Sign is a bit too lovely dovey for this show anyways.

I totally get what you´re saying. I guess Im just pragmatic. What people think and say about you have very little to do with what you "deserve"imo, what people say have 90% more to do with their own issues than others :)

There are plenty of examples of people who get unwarranted praise and people who do amazing things in silence or even suffering backlash. I dont think the "judgement of the people" have much to do with reality...I surely hope it doesent get to our boys. I dont think it does much anymore :) I can imagine you develop a thick skin for that being in the public eye for many years.

But Beyoncé does :sneaky: Im just noticing a lot of people said yes to feature on their album and that in itself is a sign of support :)

Gah dont remind me *lol* I used to listen to it non-stop when I was so infatuated with this girl ages ago....lol

I'm not gonna get into Beyonce vs Noel. I'm just a matter of taste.

When I said support, I meant more like public, vocal support. I just remember a lot of celebs saying in interviews that they thought very highly of LP4. Made a lot of ppl pay more attention to the band. The grammy's didn't hurt either I guess, lol

Nah I meant that Beyoncé is viewed highly in the US (or so I heard...Im not much knowledgeable on things Beyonce haha)

Ah yes you meant comments from celebs. Yeah VIVA was the most talked about era I think, MX being the second one. Grammys I used to think they were something, but after seeing the people who got them in recent years...I dont know I stopped paying attention hehe Either I dont get it, or I dont seem to like the music the Grammys think its amazing.

yeah, beyonce is pretty big in the US for sure.

Grammy's are strange. I thought they were the biggest musical award you could win. But I keep hearing more and more how they're bias and how its not a good judge of music, etc.

Warning Sign is my fav song but it def does not fit the setting, venue or event. They will prob go for more upbeat songs, def see VLV, AHFOD and HYMN

a big no no for warning sign from me too. i'd love to see something like what they did at paralympics. 42, violet hill, god put a.., viva, etc, but that's the coldplay fanatic talking. but realistically, they have to be the big hits. it's going to be be interesting with the collabs and all :)

I hope they play VLV! It's one of those songs that really bring out the feeling of togetherness and celebration at a concert. Also can't wait to see HFTW with Beyoncé :dazzled:

Do you think they'll play Up&Up? I hope they do :)

Yes, to VLV

No, to U&U

For the record, I like both, but don't think U&U fits.

I love Up&Up and i would love it to get that kind of exposure but it's quite a long song. It would mean a large part of a very short set allocated to a song that like 98% of the people watching wouldn't know about. Not sure Coldplay would take that risk.

@jc90 I think it does - it's about togetherness, union and hope. Maybe it's a little too 'sweet', but still.

@Coeurli good point. I didn't think about that.
