My favorite version of The Scientist is when Chris does the "ya da da da da" at the end. May be the best part of any of their songs. You all being here are keeping me from a meltdown right now! Thanks, friends!

Best song of all time history... it always takes me to another world!

Nothing like clocks, I remember the time when this song was on the radio so often and this was long after the album was released as well. But now I barely hear it although I don't listen to much radio anymore :P

Does shoot an apple off my head come before or after Apple was born? Karvi you couldn't have said it any better!

am I a part of the cure or am I a part of the disease? My beautiful spelling shining through

I must admit I still don't understand what this song is really about, or what the "You are" mean....

Maybe it's about a state of mind rather than something specific. I actually love cryptic lyrics like these !

I really love this instrumental part so much......

Nothing else compares...except Paradise and The Scientist and now Up and Up!

Home where I wanted to go, home, home where I wanted to goooo

so within i think the past year or so i had something of a revelation about what it could potentially mean

if the thought begins "you are..."

and ends "...home, home, where i wanted to go"

you are... home, home, where i wanted to go....

I thought I read where Chris talked about it being a state of mind. I think of them on the road so much when I hear "Home where I wanted to go" and always feel sad for them on tour.

where I wanted to go, yes I went home, home, where I wanted to go

God, in my place, such a true song...

I was lost oh yeah...

How long must you wait for it?

I once thought about that too, but it didn't convince me....

(I bet even Chris doesn't know what it really means :P)
