...at least not such bad reviews with sentences like "the songs sound all the same" or "chris lost his ability to write good lyrics" or "the melodies are so predictable" or whatever. You just can't say that. I'm listening to the new Coldplay album now, and I'm not disappointed! It's absolutely not under my expectations! The songs became much more complicated, there are many surprises, and you can really hear how much the guys cared about each song. I'm listening to it now the 2nd time, so far I like "Square One" and "Fix You" the most. The only thing I miss are the straight rockers, like "Yellow" and "GPASUYF"....well I didn't really expect something like that, they alr…

i first heard the live versions then got used to them, then when i heard the studio they sounded wierd.. so i guess i perfer live!!!

Think it should've been on the US version? I dig it.. I love how all the new songs seem like they get better the deeper you go into the song

i knowits way way to early yet but do you think coldplay will end p doing a 4th album MY OPINION: i think theres a big possibility but i think it might be a bit diffrent from the usual coldplay sound.

Forgive me, but I have listened to this album a number of times and the lyrics seem so predictable, detatched and abstract. With the exception of Fix You or Talk, I feel that Martin kind of mailed in these lyrics. It seems he leaned more on the atmosphere and sound of the song then the lyrical content in this album. So, I listened through Parachutes, AROBTH, and X&Y and there is nothing on this album that connects like Amsterdam, Sparks, Warning Sign or even We Never Change. Well the poeple that live in california did you guys hear that in KROQ their give out coldplay tickets to see them but you need to be caller 20 just saying incase you didn't konw well the number is 1-800-520-1067 but you have to listen to it who is going to see them? I'am going this is my second time going to see them I'm so excited!!!!!!! :)

Question here...I watched the "ask coldplay" special on MTV and throughout the show they showed clips from an MTV concert. Well, I just assumed that was the concert I would be watching after the coldplay special...it wasn't. Will the concert they show clips of during ask coldplay be on in the US?? It looked great and I would LOVE to see it.

OK folks. I've made a direct-from-TV DVD recording of the Amsterdam buzz from 6th April gig yesterday. I've just ripped the DVD and I'm packing it as a .zip file now. I want to upload it somewhere, but obviously it's a HUGE file. What's the best and fastest way to this? Rapidshare is not an option (max. 30 MB), and I'm not going to bother with YSI. P.s. Once it's up. Unzip the file, select all files and play in Windows Media Player.

did you see Chris Martin on J.Ross last night. they sunf three songs, in my place, fix you and speed of sound. And in each song he started going: ding ding bar bar ding ding! it is running thier music. STOP IT! they better not do that at the palace gig becuase i have paid £32.50 to get away from the crap "music".

Did anyone catch the show on Sunday 5th June? It was actually on at 6.00pm GMT and not 7.00pm as stated on the website. I was lucky and tuned in early and only missed the first 15 minutes :( Hopefully it will be online to listen to.

I'm not too sure if this has already been mentioned in another post, I've had a quick look around, couldn't see anything, and the search feature is betraying me. Anyway, I noticed in the linear notes of the X&Y CD booklet that the album is 'for BWP.' I'm wondering if that's Bruce W. Paltrow, Gwyneth's dad. If everyone's already aware of this and I just missed the bus it's all good, I shall crawl away.

dont remember where i read this, but i kind of agree with it... coldplay's music is listened to by millions of people around the world, but it still manages to have a personal quality that makes you feel like you're the only one listening to it, and it's all yours... that's kind of what i feel like when i listen to Coldplay....
