Coldplay

I really don't understand it, from what I have been seeing on other forum, most people find this to be a weak album. I just hope this album doesnt tank for the band.

X & Y is amazing. It's my favorite Coldplay album, ever. I'm listening to the album the second time through now, and I love it even more. I'm going to like it even more the third time around. This album is definitely awesome from the get-go, but it's a grower at the same time. I'm so happy right now. But how much does Speed of Sound suck after you've heard the whole album? Answer: A whole lot. This new album goes in an entirely new direction. Speed of Sound, while a good song on its own, just sits in the middle of the album like a 'Clocks Redux.' i was just sat at my piano tryin to get the chords for x&y - i realised theyre pretty similar to pyramid song (by radiohead) especially when the drums kick in. they both also contain water references does anyone else see the similarities?

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge fan of the first two; unfortunately this latest one is crap. It is not only a bad Coldplay CD, but it is also a bad CD for anyone. It is bland, middle of the road, and just plain uneventful. There are no hairs sticking up on the back of my neck, just blood coming out of my ears. To those true fans who have heard some or the songs on the new Album already. Shame on you :whip: However I am making a pledge unless played on the legal Radio or on the TV. I will refuse to listen to any new Coldplay stuff until I am buy the Album when relaised. I belive we owe it to the Coldplay band and Managment not to have the leaked songs enteirainted. First off, I pledge to actually buy the album when it comes out! Second, it's amazing, but I'm liking the tracks the more I hear them. My first response to the album was "well, it's good, but I don't like the direction Coldplay took." Though I absolutely LOVED 'What If' (this has to be on the best songs of the decade, I don't know why people don't talk about it more), felt pretty good about Fix You and loved Speed of Sound (why don't people like this track more?). First of I know this board is an ode to Coldplay. I´ve been observing this board for a pretty long time(without being registered)and the only thing I can say is:``this board is filled with some lame, dumb short sighted people´´. I like Coldplay. Just wondering why japan got the extra track on their album and not us home fans???? Any ideas?

I just listened to the real version of Fix You, and I honestly like the Coachella live version. Am I alone on this? It's still a beautiful song, but the live version is so beautiful. Also, I really wish that they hadn't added the whole "spoonman" effect on Low. Other than that, this album is AMAZING. :D
