Ok im really proud of my discovery here, I know its not much but it may lead to more. In the "road" on both the single and album covers there are red lines..........think of it like hangman, on the album one there are enough spaces for X & Y. 3 red lines. On the single cover there are spaces for speed of sound........12 spaces in all. So the dotted line represents the album and single titles..........now all i have to figure out is how the blocks fit in! OMG i got it! this is my situation i have the gig but on dvd+r but need to make it smaller i have tried dvd2avi but it does it fine but no sound?? so is there any other programs out there for me to try as once its done i will upload

My friend pointed this out to me...if you look at the code on the cover and go into the middle of the booklet and go letter by letter you will see the code for the front cover actually reads X&OY. I am not sure why this is or if its a mistake on the artist or what...check it out and let me know if you see the same thing.

Ok...the US release date is tomorrow right? I went to walmart this morning and one of the guys was putting stacks of X&Y on the shelves....i was like...hmm ok... all the posters say 6/7... haha so anyway...i got the cd a day early :D

I found a wicked coldplay song that begins with these lyrics: "I had girl, she was the best around I was in love, now im just hanging out I'm burning in the sun and losing my mind Hearts break in the summer time I'm burning in the sun and losing my mind" The melody is WICKED. Now, the song title is listed as Swallowed in the Sea. Having just bought the new album, I can tell you that not only is that song NOT Swallowed in the Sea, it isn't even on X&Y! Does anyone know what this song is? If you tell me, I'll send it to you!

so thats the story but i dunno if it has to be in here: the theater teacher at our school had an bike accident on monday and since then is in coma... i'm playing the piano as accompaniement for this group, so i thought that i'll buy a cd, that her husband can play for her... and thougt about x&y... i mean there are songs like fix you or talk (lyrics: i wanna talk to you etc.) and all those songs are great...but thought that maybe the fix you lyrics, with the thing something slipping away and you can't do anything etc. isn't a bit morbid for this situation... if you think so hav you got an album name that is adequat for this problem... thanks, matt

Here in the states I just noticed that the digital channel VH1 Mega Hits (channel 158 for me) is playing all Coldplay videos. I'm not sure if it goes on all day but its still cool nonetheless :D .

With just 25 days to go to the date... of June 6th. I think its a good idea. We have a advent x-y count down thread... I've decided to wait until Monday to go by the CD and shove it on in my car and blast it like a bitch. Besides, it sounds like the sound quality of the leaked stuff is not too good. Nothing better than listening to a new Coldplay CD for the first time! Come on those of you who have listened to it already, how good is it really?

Like many a Coldplay fan, I went to my local virgin (ahem...) to buy a copy of X&Y with a limited edition poster. One happy bunny i am. However... I can't help but think there's something fishy going on... How come, prior to release, this was the worlds most heavily guarded album and most of the publicity that surrounded X&Y was around the fact critics had to listen to it in a glassed up Ipod with a security guard behind him.. And yet, it arrives on the shelves today without a security tag, OR copyright protection without plastic wrapping etc... Oasis have pasted every single phonebox in west london with HEEEEYYY LYLA!!! yet Coldplay have invested little publ…

anyone know when the vh1 storytellers gig will be shown in the uk? and does anyone know what tracks they played for it? :P
