Coldplay

Im interested in how youd describe how Coldplay has changed over the albums :) Id say its from acoustic-ish vocal/piano focused songs to more guitar and ethereal sound focused songs... (I hope Im not making a double topic)

In my opinion the new video is very late, with the single released in 2 weeks time, surely the SOS video should be on the music video channels? Anyone have a date or know what the hold up is? The song needs to get familiar with viewers who will buy the single.

this is probably kind of an obvious question, but have the guys ever spoken up or visited these boards?? I'm a huge Ben Folds fan and he visited his fan boards a few times and it was pretty cool. But yeah just wondering if any of the Vets around here could answer...If no, then thatd be nuts if we could do that for a night or something, unfrigginbelievable

Hey I'm new around here but after listening to the KRCW show and recently looking at posts, I don't seem to see much mention of the song White Shadows! I agree that all of the others are great in their own ways but I seem to be the only one in my peer group who cares about this song at all. I think the chorus buildup and melodies are a great example of the newer approaches the band has taken on the new songs by incorporating different arrangements and instruments (a friggin organ on this one). I'm basically just venting here and seein what you guys think too. (btw, if anyone has any other recordings of this song then please speak up!)

You can spot Will at first glance.

I want to pre-order X&Y obviously, but I can't decide where to get it from. I read on someone's blog that they recieved a poster since he pre-ordered. Does anyone know any similar types of deals like this? Thanks!

I've tried to enter the contest repeatedly, but the e-mail address for entries that coldplay.com provides ([email protected]) keeps bouncing messages back to me. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And, if so, do you possibly know the correct e-mail address to send entries to?

not sure if this topic has been discussed before but i thought it would be an interesting one... i'll get the ball rolling! mine would have to be A Warning Sign, because the lyrics are very easy for me to relate to in regards to an ex of mine .. Followed very closely by Amsterdam ... brings me to tears every time I hear it... What's yours??

I hope this is the right forum...anyway... I was in Manhattan today, heading into a Tower Records (66th and Broadway)...and outside, I saw this black van with the X&Y logo on it. I headed over to see if there was anyone there. Unfortunately, there wasn't, so I headed into the store and I figured I'd catch someone there when I left. When I came out, the van was gone and there were a couple X&Y stickers on a lightpole. Just wondering if anyone else happened to see this van and maybe grab some stickers or news.
