alright i was in hmv today and they have this big poster of coldplay up for X&Y. so it says you can get (i actually don't remember if you win them or buy them :confused: ) a pair of tickets to the kool haus show if you pre-order the cd. and you get a mini poster. it's like a raffle in the store. so for the gig, 40 stores in toronto were each given 10 tickets. THATS 400! so i think it ends tonight, the final day you can get it so whoever reads this might want to check it out. random, i told my mom and as a surprise she pre-ordered the cd for me. hehe i like my poster :P

Coldplay's highly anticipated third album is to be packaged with a front cover featuring colour-coded blocks which combine to reveal a secret code, ContactMusic can reveal. Bosses at record company Parlophone hope the intrigue surrounding the X&Y disc's artwork will pique the interest of fans the world over as they try to find the hidden meaning concealed the eye-catching design. The global marketing campaign will begin later this month in anticipation of the album's release on 6th June. Parlophone executives anticipate X&Y will sell more copies than the 10 million units A Rush Of Blood To The Head sold worldwide.

updated information! The band will be at Edge street-level studio at 228 Yonge Street on Monday, May 9th at apparoximately 6:30pm. The entire set will also be broadcasted on edge 102.1 and will also be available through on-line streaming at http://www.edge.ca on Monday, May 9th. anyone planning on going?

@Fellow Canadians: Tickets to the event are gone, but you can tune in to MuchMusic MuchOnDemand (5 PM Toronto time--you do the math for your area). Two of the band members will be there to talk about their new album. If you're at work/school and miss it, it'll repeat at 11 P.M. Toronto time. My bad if this has been posted already.

From all the articles I have read Coldplay have pretty much played almost every song from X&Y except Talk, Swallowed In The Sea, and Twisted Logic. Could these possibly be the best songs on the album or the worst. I have heard Swallowed In The Sea is amazing so I am going to guess these songs are probably really good. The version of Talk I heard was amazing but Coldplay do have better songs. How is X&Y by the way. I think it was only played live once. Man, I just cant wait for this album!!

Hmm im trying to think of what im going to say if I meet the band at the show this week. I think im just going to ask about the record, touring and stuff....and ask them to sign something, maybe take a picture.

Remember all the media fuss when the head of creation records called Coldplay "music for bed-wetters"? Well apparantly some people are now taking pride in the term: http://www.cafepress.com/bedwetters. Not sure if I am brave enough to wear one myself. Would any of you wear one? Do you think it is time for 'bed-wetter pride'?

Its getting really hard waiting and waiting for this album. I have only heard SOS and the early version of Talk. I am getting more anxious by the day. I just have one question. I have heard so much about Til Kingdom Come and What If. How good are these songs really? And Low to, I've heard that song is amazing. This album is going to the be the best.

So on the official site it says the video has not been shot yet, however we are supposed to hear it around next monday on radio............dont the television and radio releases usually come at the same time? And I wonder if Chris has perfected any new stage moves..... :lol:

Did anyone read that article about the level of security around X&Y? I remember it said journalists who reviewed the album had to walk into a room, with door open and security guard at bay, and sit at a desk, when they would get an iPod sealed in another case with X&Y inside. They then could sit, listen, write notes and leave. All in the open, with no way of getting the songs. I have a feeling this isn't going to leak for awhile. :(

I know Chris got some vocal coaching and stuff over the past year, and to me it is evident he has improved. In particular, the quality of his singing on Speed Of Sound is imaculate!

It says that Chris told the crowd that their new single is going to be Love, apparently "orgasm-inducing". Now, as we all know, there is no song on X&Y called Love. But maybe it could have been a typo for the song Low. If this is true, that means that I'm going to be even more confused about the album's potential singles than ever! :lol:

for fun, i'd like to know what's the most silly thing you've done because of coldplay...for me, it's been this t-shirt i only wore once in '02 to my first coldplay concert, where i received a warm hug from chris...not until very recently did i finally wash it...

Now i was browsing around mtv.com and again i see that coldplay are suppose to be on the leak on 5/31.They were suppose to last time in like march or somethin but then was takin off,But im not sure this could be true since they are showing the gig in London on the 5th of June.But i dont know.i dont even know if im gonna listen to it anyways, i think im gonna wait til the 7th.

Ok,its a rubbish recording,but it sounds absolutely amazing,makes me want to cry!.Reminds me quite a bit of See You Soon.
