My Morning Jacket - Z Listened to this album twice really getting into it - I think its an improvement on their last album It still moves whats your opinion?

Has anyone ever heard anything by them or seen them before? Geez, what a bunch of garbage. I saw them on a re-run of Jay Leno last night.. What the fuck is going on there? All they do is make a bunch of racket with a couple of goons up there in the corner just standing around instead of headbanging, like the guitarist, singer (not that he sings), bassist.. :/

Have you guys heard about this crazy album coming out with pretty much all of my favorite musicians? Seriously this new Rhythms del Mundo: Classics CD has Fall Out Boy with John Mayer covering “Beat It” and The Killers have an awesome cover of “Hotel California”. The twist is they are all backed by some of the most amazing Cuban musicians including two from the Buena Vista Social Club. Can’t wait for it to come out August 11!!!! You can get one here…. Hello, I'm an aspiring musician from London, I was on the Coldplaying Charity Club CD a while back and just thought I'd put a thread on here saying I'm doing a cover of Yellow and it'll be on my Myspace page soon, I've just gotta put the vocals on it now. I've done it in a different key, and it is kinda simplified, and it's not gonna be the best sound quality 'cos it's just a rough home demo with limited equipment! But I kinda like how it's sounding so if anyone wants to listen go over to my myspace page below in a couple of hours and check it out! Just don't take too much offence if it completely sucks! lol

I think it is Matthew because if u listen to his songs they sound more complicated. What do you guys think?

You lot no I dislike Radiohead with a passion but is there any way I can come to like them? The biggest obstacle is that of Thom Yorke who I severely hate because of his bore attitude of which he has no time for any artist but he and his group. This is opposed to Greenwood who is somewhat of a genius. So you tell me what makes them a great group abd by that I'm not asking for those obvious soppy statements like "OK Computer's the greatest album of the 90s etc..." That is a matter of opinion as I believe Achtung Baby is! No tell me what YOU think makes them great. Try and convince me.

Oh yeah, it's another thread about an old band, who are sadly no longer with us, which is a shame as they made some fantastic pop albums of the late 1980s/early 1990s. They were an Irish band, of which their best known song was "The King of Rock 'N' Roll" and best known album was Steve McQueen/Two Wheels Good which got re-released last year. You know, when you get a link to print your own tickets off at home giving you an unique barcode which a man at the door scans. I can see both sides of the coin, the biggest plus is that they don't have to send tickets out to you in the mail, so it's more secure and less open for touts, but the biggest downer is that e-tickets ain't good for collections of ticket stubs to see what gigs you have been to over the years. So are you in support of e-tickets or would you rather have the old style tickets sent out in the mail?

Just discovered this band on another forum and I have to recommend this band to all Coldplay fans as I really think you will love these guys! This is the best band I discovered in ages! I know this is very random, but i was having this discussion the other day with a friend of mine and he feels that Queen are much better than the Beatles and that they wrote better songs. I wanted to know what u guys thought. Personally, I believe the Beatles were and are the best band in the world and Queen doesn't stand a chance. But what do you guys think?

Next to Coldplay, these guys are one of my favorite bands ever. I've seen them so many times already but everytime I'm just as amazed as I was the first time I saw them. Plus, these guys are total genuine sweethearts. And I know I probably annoy a lot of my friends from talking about them so often - I admit, I kind of am a bit of a walking DATH promotion - but I really believe these guys are worth everyone hearing about -and pretty much everyone who I have shared their music with have fallen in love with them just as much as I have. haha.
