Well it has appeared that Lily Allen has come out criticising Susan Boyle on her Twitter account. Allen wrote on Twitter: "I thought her timing was off on Britain's Got Talent on Sunday - no control, and I don't think she has an amazing voice." She added: "She can sing, but it's not about talent with her, is it? She seems like a lovely lady but, if the show is about talent, then that Shaheen kid should win." Well I don't know about you Little Miss Talentless Cow, but at least she can sing , plus she isn't faking coming from a working class background. Plus she's got guts, unlike your drug filled, alchohol filled body.

Wow!!!!:o:o Its hard to beleive that my fave female singer turns 61 today!!! I, for one, would never have thought way back in the 70s, that us Fleetwood Mac fans would ever see Stevie turn 61!!!:o:o She is an exceptionally prolific songwriter and her vocals are out of this world!!!! Its totally incredible that Fleetwood Mac are all in their 60s now and they are still bringing arenas to their knees right now with their Unleashed Tour!!! Long may they reign!!!!:D:D:D

I usually don't get all wrapped up in the American Idol hype, but this year it was hard to ignore (especially with my mom making me watch every single Adam Lambert performance). And now Kris Allen takes the crown after he quite obviously fell short last night and overall does not have the same abilities as Adam. So what do you think? Did America screw up again? Or was the better singer chosen?

This poll is based on a comment that howyouseetheworld made about none of his friends owning the Bends. He was saying that (What's the Story) Morning Glory was the album of the year in 1995. So I'm interested to know if you: Own The Bends Own Whats the Story Own Both Own Neither.

The singer / songwriter title seems to be attached to performers with a full-band, radio 2 type sound recently (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that sound, each to their own and all that) but i've always preferred singer / songwriters who can pull of being memorable and beautiful in a much more pared down way. I'm thinking Chris on Coldplay's drumless stuff (Lost Highway, See You Soon), Damien Rice (Blowers Daughter, Elephant (save for the bit in the middle), Ray Lamontagne (Burn), those sorts of purer solo-efforts where the voice, guitar, and maybe one more sound to fill in space is all that it takes.
