http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/article2128530.ece Is this supposed to be funny? I know it's the Sun, but come on... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northstar That's the first, anyway. So from now on, whenever the Sun publishes something idiotic, post it in here! We could have another thread for the Daily Mail, also.

http://mises.org/story/3289 Here's an interesting article about how our society has been turning young adults into children, and the age of "adulthood" has been on the rise... I have mixed feelings about this, because I think it's good that people are still having fun as they get older. And it makes sense that as lifespans increase, so should the length of our childhoods. But in general I think being a child shouldn't mean one isn't responsible for being emotionally mature. The whole public school system is bent toward stunted mental-growth, because it confines children to socializing only with peers of the same age, something that wouldn't happen in the natura…

Countering The Marxist Critical Theory We need to defy Political Correctness at every level. We need to hold PC institutions such as the media responsible for obscuring the truth about the origins of violent crime and those responsible for it in our countries. We need to point out those unproductive members of our society who sponge on the tax and sweat of others; those who keep on having babies when they can hardly look after themselves. We should point out the illegal immigrants, drug dealers and organised criminals in our societies and not be scared to call a spade a spade “Out of the dominant characteristics of both belligerents a certain center of gravity d…

Ronaldo claims he wrote off two-day-old £200k Ferrari 'after slipping on oil' Cristiano Ronaldo told his family he wrote off his £200,000 two-day old Ferrari after skidding on a patch of oil. The Manchester United star walked away unscathed after smashing the 200mph red Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano into a tunnel wall in Manchester yesterday. A source told a Portuguese newspaper: 'He said the crash was caused by moisture and oil on the road.' Ronaldo's relief at emerging unhurt will have been matched by manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who must have feared the worst when he heard his £60million-valued World Player of the Year had been in such a spectacular smash. Ronaldo's …

Larry Flynt of Hustler magazine and Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild videos are going to ask Congress for a $5 billion bailout for the adult industry. I guess business is limp for the porn makers so they are going to ask for some money, though they've admit that they don't believe that they won't get it. I'm sorry but this is just too funny. Here's the article WASHINGTON (CNN) — Another major American industry is asking for assistance as the global financial crisis continues: Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis said Wednesday they will request that Congress allocate $5 billion for a bailout of the adult entertainment industry. “The ta…

Mothers protest at Facebook ban on 'offensive' breastfeeding photos By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 12:49 AM on 31st December 2008 Comments (128) Add to My Stories Facebook has banned mothers from posting photos of themselves breastfeeding their children. The decision to remove the 'inappropriate' photos has caused protests by women's groups. The social networking site, which has over 120million members, claimed that those images which show too much breast violate its terms and conditions. It has warned that users who continue to post photos which it deems inappropriate could lose their access to the site. Facebook spokesman Barry S…

Politically correct parents ditch 'offensive' traditional fairy tales By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 12:33 PM on 05th January 2009 Comments (6) Add to My Stories Politically correct parents are scrapping traditional fairy tales at bedtime - because they're too offensive and too scary. A survey of 3,000 parents has found one in four mums has ditched old classics like Cinderella and Rapunzel in favour of The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Gruffalo. One in 10 parents even said Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs should be re-titled Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challenged People - because they believe 'the dwarf reference is not PC'. …

Okay ... the summer is coming closer, the concerts of Coldplay as well and I want to be prepared :wink3: I am currently searching for a new compact digital camera :) At the moment my small digital camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1, so a really old version, with only 4.0 megapixel and a 6 x optical zoom. I used to be really satisfied with this camera and the way it worked, but of course it's way too old and I don't have a microphone included to make video recordings with audio. That's why I'm thinking about buying myself a new camera. I have my eyes peeled for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 (DMC-TZ5-EG-TA) 'cause it has a 10 x optical zoom, a 28 mm lense and vide…

I like Comic Books. Always have, since the tender age of 5, 23 years ago. Maybe even earlier. The first ones I ever read were Iron Man, Ghost Rider, Man-Thing and ElfQuest. I loved them all. To this day I can still see them in my head. GR's flaming motorcycle, Iron Man flying throught the sky with his boot jets and Winnowil inside Blue Mountain, holding the baby like some demoness. They convey drama and action, emotions and thoughts as well as any book or movie. I know because I have been reading them forever. They aren't just for kids anymore, they range in styles and genre's for all ages. Books like Preacher or Sandman, clearly for adults to books like S…

The great stay-at-home New Year's Eve: Sub-zero temperatures and credit crunch force revellers to snub bars and clubs By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 10:16 AM on 31st December 2008 Comments (103) Add to My Stories Pubs and nightclubs are bracing themselves for a quiet New Year’s Eve due to a grim combination of freezing weather and the credit crunch. With night-time temperatures set to plunge below zero in many regions across the country tonight, a lot of revellers are expected to stay indoors. Coupled with the deepening economic crisis, it all seems to be pointing towards a gloomy night for venue owners, who have already faced a decline…

January 1... and the Easter eggs are on sale By Claire Ellicott Last updated at 11:56 PM on 31st December 2008 Comments (-) Add to My Stories Early: Easter eggs are already on sale Your head hurts from last night's celebrations, and you never want to see a Christmas turkey or a mince pie again. But take heart - you can cheer yourself up with an Easter egg. Yes, it may be only New Year's Day but already the chocolatey treats are appearing on supermarket shelves. Just the 14 weeks early. Customers were astonished to see staff putting out 'Easter Treats' displays of chocolates and daffodils at a Tesco store only four days after Ch…

This happened sometime last year. Some crazed guy was sitting next to one of the other passengers, when for no reason he started to stab him. The victim was screaming in agony and he soon died from the multiple stab wounds. The victim's head was then sliced off and shown to the police. This was such a sick act to carry out. I read about it in the paper and saw it on the news.

The name of the actor who will replace David Tennant as Doctor Who will be announced tomorrow, the BBC said. Tennant said in October that he would stand down from the show after filming four special episodes in 2009. His replacement - the eleventh Doctor of the TV series - will be revealed in a Doctor Who Confidential programme on BBC One at 17:35. The casting was confirmed over Christmas and filming for the 2010 series begins in the summer. Tennant is due to begin shooting the first of his four specials this month, just weeks after surgery on his back. The last of these episodes is expected to run in early 2010. The casting decision has been a pr…

hahahaha go read the comments on their blog about the bail out. " Oh no, Chrysler. Don't thank me. I want to thank YOU! By raiding an EMPTY US Treasury, you have helped to insure that the government is going to ruin the dollar by printing a river of new ones to loan to YOU. When the inevitable raging inflation hits, people on fixed incomes - like my parents - are going to be ruined, and the next generation will live in poverty. But at least Chrysler's overpaid, incompetent executives and overpaid, lazy workers will be okay. So thank YOU Chrysler for taking care of number one and screwing my parents. my children, and America in general. I will ride a donkey to …
