In his vest and tracksuit trousers, jobless David Bradley looks an unlikely stud. But the 53-year-old with the long white hair has fathered 16 children by seven women. His lovers include two sisters, both nearly half his age, who live with him and are the mothers of nine of his clan. It is a dubious feat that has earned him the nickname 'the Peter Stringfellow of Stafford'. That nickname, however, is just about all layabout lothario Bradley has earned through a hard day's work for as long as most people can remember. For despite having obviously exerted himself in the bedroom, he claims he cannot work because of a heart condition - and gets more than £32,000 a…

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration said Tuesday that all detainees held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and in U.S. military custody everywhere are entitled to protections under the Geneva Conventions. White House spokesman Tony Snow said the policy, outlined in a new Defense Department memo, reflects the recent 5-3 Supreme Court decision blocking military tribunals set up by President Bush. That decision struck down the tribunals because they did not obey international law and had not been authorized by Congress. The policy, described in a memo by Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, appears to reverse the administration’s earlier insistence that the detainees are n…

Author JK Rowling has said two characters will die in the seventh and final Harry Potter book, but she has been careful not to reveal which ones. She told the Richard and Judy show that she had long known how the series would end, because she had written the last chapter "in something like 1990". "One character got a reprieve, but I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die," she said. She refused to elaborate, as "I don't want the hate mail or anything else". Rowling said she could understand why authors might want to finish off their main characters in order to ensure they could never be resurrected. She would not say if this would be the case wi…

The Pistons, who won the NBA championship in 2004 and lost in the seventh game of the NBA Finals to the San Antonio Spurs in '05, lost to the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals — and Wallace's uneven play, coupled with his constan…

I just watched this today at a 10 PM advanced screening (not that advanced--only a few hours :laugh3:). I actually kinda liked it. :stunned: Didn't expect myself to. It's a bit on the cheesy/corny side, but what movie based on a comic isn't? (there probably is one, but whatever) Buuut, very cool. :D There's a pretty good amount of non-pun/corny/cheesy humor also. :P All in all, I liked it... I think.
