May 29, 201214 yr Oh yes !! how can I forget that :laugh3: but seriously, I was impressed by his answers, he seems to know about everything I was impressed by his answers, too. Some of them I even had to google. The one with the painters for example.
May 29, 201214 yr Hahah ^^ I don't know if this pic has already been posted but I love it  It has, and I love it too. From the 2006 Grammy's I believe...

June 1, 201214 yr ahahahahaha this pic is hilarious. Chris pays tons of attention to Will. In fact, I'd say of all the band members except Chris, it tends to be Will who gets the most attention and is most highly regarded as a musician, especially recently. Look how many of the current tour reviews make a major point of singling out Will's contribution to their shows. (as they should, he plays six instruments on their current shows.) He is an amazing musician, I know that. But I don't think that Will gets a lot of attention. He gets to sing quite much that's right, although He isn't appreciated enough. When people say Coldplay they often think of Chris and no one else. Besides, Chris favors Jonny all the time and Guy is considered as the most handsome member. And even Chris emphasizes it, even during UATW when Guy plays only few notes. I know it seems like I'm exaggerating but Will was often skipped. When He wanted to shake hands with some TV host he didn't notice Him and focused only on Chris. As I also said Will doesn't get a lot of attention during the live shows even though He does an amazing job I would say a lot greater than Guy. His vocals are always very quiet and I can hardly hear Him on UATW's album version. I don't know. As I said it may look like I'm exaggerating but I just somehow got this feeling : ( Maybe it's because I'm exalting Him as a person too much but He really is the great musician, an amazing honest person, He's great at sports, we even found recently that He's a great cook and He's so handsome and kind and warm so well.
June 1, 201214 yr I think real fans give him lots of love and respect, but even in photos, like I've said before, you get lots of Chris, almost as many of Jonny, a few of Guy but hardly any of Will. I've been posting gig pics in all the threads but this one because there are hardly ANY. :(

I disagree. Will may not have as many photos (which I still contend is primarily a function of it being harder to get good pictures of him behind the drumkit at the back of the stage.) That said, if you read through the media reviews of the MX tour, Will is (aside from Chris), BY FAR the band member most singled out for mention and praise. For example: "But this likely wouldn't happen if not for Will Champion. The drummer is vital to the band. And I don't know that I've ever paid attention to his work on the albums. Or if I'm even supposed to. Yet he beats the shit out of his kit onstage. He's a muscular, bearded, Bonham lover. No, seriously. I'm talking about the guy from Coldplay. He drummed harder than anyone I saw all day, and that includes an art metal band. He also sings. Dueting with Martin on "Us Against the World," another newbie introduced facetiously as being about a love affair between Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin. Maybe it was his bald head, maybe it was the hammy superimposed faces on the big video screens, but seeing Champion belt choruses into a microphone, I couldn't help but think that if Martin ever dumped the other three to go solo, a la Peter Gabriel, they've got a Phil Collins in back ready to step up." -from a review of their Lollapalooza gig and "One last thing, I have gained a real appreciation for the drummer in Coldplay. Over the course of the show, he played drums, guitar, digital percussion pad, timpani and bells. Hell, he played the guitar and the drums at the same time! He also is the primary harmony vocalist and had a few vocal solo’s as well. And it’s not just gimmicky stuff either. His contribution to the live concert experience is substantial. I hope he gets his dues both within the group and from fans who listen and watch." -From a review of Vancouver I honestly can't remember ever reading a review/article etc. where Jonny or Guy's skills were praised to that extent.

June 1, 201214 yr Well, we'll see. I'm a VERY amateur photographer, so I'll be taking lots of pics of all of them in Toronto. I'm going to go out of my way to get some shots of Will, but I'm only allowed to take a P&S. Those with real cameras have no excuse, lol.

June 1, 201214 yr All right...give me a bit, and I'll upload a s**tload of Will pics, some ok, some not ok, and some really good...I have so many it's not even funny. LOL :laugh3:
June 1, 201214 yr Haha, I agree with Dianne. Honestly, this last concert I was at last month was probably the closest I've ever been to him since we basically on the stage and I could clearly see him the who show as Chris, the drumset and the piano were not in the way for once! Side of the stage is the best place if you want a good view of Will!

I've been in the front row more times than I can count, but that darn singer or that darn guitar hero are always dancing around and getting in my way, so I have to shoot around them or wait until they are doing their singer-guitar dude thing on the ramp before I can even see our drummer. I'l get to it sometime this weekend, photo bucket is annoying because I can't just drag from iPhoto, I have to go from the little thumbnails to try to see the decent ones and upload. But I've been to so many shows the last few months, I do have quite a few of our guy.

It does seem like most of the really great Will pics come from people who have seats either behind the stage, or 3/4ths around the side, places where seating has been blocked off previous Coldplay Arena tours. Coupled with the overall low rising nature of their stage this tour, Will has probably never been more visible.
June 3, 201214 yr From today's liveblog. Finally some Will goodness.:D I find this one very funny for some reason. Probably the towel coupled with the fact it looks like he has no teeth here.
June 3, 201214 yr The other one from the liveblog. I accidentally deleted it earlier making room in my imageshack account, lol.

June 3, 201214 yr I read a few pages back in this thread about Will not being appreciated much by the reviewers, but in the live review of Coldplay's concert at Richo Arena in Coventry on 29th May 2012 Will was praised a lot (and deservedly): From the live review (about Will): "I still cannot fathom how Will Champion has the energy not only to hit that drum consistently and in time throughout the song, but also hit the bell at the same time in the chorus, and then sing harmonies on top of that: literally astounding." "'Us Against The World' is a lovely song, and anyone can relate to the message that is conveyed throughout. Chris sings the first verse and chorus by himself, then Will Champion appears on the piano and harmonising (is there nothing this man can't do?) Jonny Buckland appears on the rhythm guitar in the second chorus, and Guy Berryman comes in just after this. It is incredibly intimate and lovely." Good to read the deserved praise of Will. :will:

I've spent 2 nights battling with my P&S camera to get pics of Will, if I can get to him through ppl's arms and distance across the stage to the various instruments he's playing - then he's been working so damn hard most of my shots are blurred were he's moving so fast. :shocked2: I will post the few I have of any quality once I've worked out how flickr works LOL
