Lewis Hamilton (lives in Switzerland like Schumacher), Jenson Button, various British film stars - they all reside in tax havens. It happens but I know for sure they all do their bit for charity. They can do whatever they want with their money they earnt. It's just a story for little champagne socialist teenagers to be the desperate attention seekers they are.
June 25, 201114 yr Even I don't agree with U2 on the tax thing...oh well, it's Glastonbury. The gig was great though. Missed half of it live but I'm listening to the rest now. Just regret that some of their more-played songs (Magnificent, COBL, Zooropa) during the 360 Tour didn't get on the setlist. You have to keep in mind they had a limited set, not their usual 23 songs.
June 25, 201114 yr You have to keep in mind they had a limited set, not their usual 23 songs. Thank goodness!
June 25, 201114 yr yes, you are saw the world you have right. i saw U2 12 times between their 360 degree tour, but no concert was so great like this tonight, ok they played a lot of minutes more in a live concert than tonight in Glastonbury, but i think they played the best songs at Glastonbury and not megnificent, miss sarajevoand all the other fucking songs.

June 25, 201114 yr ^That is a great song! They only played it live once on the 360 tour and I think it sort of flopped. Too bad since it is such a great song.
June 25, 201114 yr U2 definitely lived up to expectations. Excellent set! Agreed! 19 days until my U2 show. Can't wait!
June 25, 201114 yr I just really hope they keep up with this Achtung heavy theme. I'm loving it! Those songs just work so well live.
June 25, 201114 yr So, so cool. Can't wait for tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! Yess... the yellow cover by U2 is great!! i love it my two favorite bands ... Coldplay and U2 !! this night!!!
June 25, 201114 yr I know there are people out there who don't like U2. I just understand how that's possible. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMY_0OypCWI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMY_0OypCWI[/ame]
June 25, 201114 yr Glastonbury last night, http://fr.justin.tv/wmc_tv/b/288816686? The concert was awesome. Enjoy !
June 25, 201114 yr Just appalled at the Twitter feed for U2 right now. :dozey: We know Bono has a bit of an ego, just don't get into a big deal over it. yeah. mine was like a mix of ppl whinging away about how overrated U2 are or how shite Bono is in between banter about how great the songs are & excitement when a song's played. tho having seen their post gig interview (& i admittedly have hardly ever really seen any of U2's interviews over the year...i just focus on their songs & videos of their gigs), i guess i can see why ppl'd, particularly the "youngsters" going by my twitter feed, hate them & Bono especially with his ego + preachiness. & even Larry was a bit preachy, talking about "pointers" & the saying "the audience being too far away" (this coming from the drummer!). :dozey: Lewis Hamilton (lives in Switzerland like Schumacher), Jenson Button, various British film stars - they all reside in tax havens. It happens but I know for sure they all do their bit for charity. They can do whatever they want with their money they earnt. It's just a story for little champagne socialist teenagers to be the desperate attention seekers they are. ^^ this! i was thinking that if that's what they want to protest about, then why didn't/haven't they said anything about ppl like them too rather than just squarely targetting U2? i vaguely recall reading interviews with British F1 drivers who say they choose to live in Switzerland because of the taxes. as a side note, i realised they didn't play that new song that's called Glastonbury last night...
June 25, 201114 yr I dislike all the unions and people moaning about the cuts, but if you push them to ask what the government should do to get back in the black they have no idea. The unions are just jumpy as more people are jumping ship to save the monthly payment.
