You should be doing that. Like right now! Because in my humble opinion, Funeral is far and away better than Neon Bible. Don't get me wrong, Neon Bible is fantastic. But Funeral is just...untouchable.

Haven't heard anything new for a long time.

for all you aussie arcade fire fans out there. On Monday night at 10pm (AEST) ABC2 will be broadcasting a fair bit of the Arcade Fire show that took place earlier in the year. i have the audio of the full concert and it is easily the best concert i have heard all year so i cant wait to see it on tv.

 

for those of you outside of australia i will record the show and put it on youtube as quickly as i can.

I would imagine they are either taking a break or are busy doing album 3

i must agree. neon bible was good but nowhere near as all-round satisfying and heart-warming as funeral. they were too cynical on neon bible and admitted it was the product of too much critical acclaim for their first effort causing a backlash and them thumbing their noses. but i still love em. can't wait for lp3!

And to be honest, I don't know much about them, or about any of their albums... I do enjoy quite a few of their songs, though, and I strongly recommend giving them a try.

Haha yea! and after that, once you finish both albums, check them out live in concert (Or on youtube) as well as their B-sides. They've got pretty good B-sides and covers. (Eg. The Guns of Brixton)

 

The first song that got me hooked to AF was 'Wake Up' live at glastonbury 2007 (I think). I saw it on youtube and was blown away.. After that I picked up a copy of Neon bible and have been hooked ever since =)

I have every single, CDS, promos, posters (Burlesque) of the band.

 

It is defo my favorite band ......

 

AF is right now at the very early stage of recording their 3rd album (not considering the EP)

They opened for U2. They're better than U2. IMO.
