Yep. He's already good friends with Eric Clapton and BB King, and he's got the guitar skills of both of those legends. He's one of the most talented and original guitarists not only of our time, but of all time.

 

I wouldn't say he's particularly original but he's definatly very talented, ah I like the guy anyway:)

Yeah. I saw him on TMZ once (hate that show BTW) but I was flipping thru channels and saw him. He was walking and listening to some rap song on his iPod. The paparazzi guy asked him to rap along. John said he couldn't. The paparazzi asked why not and he pointed to his arm and said "whiteness"

you could probably make a case with the mayfield track, but there are thousands of songs with the chords A and D, the mash-up isn't even all that good considering the melodies and rythms are completely different.

^I pretty much agree, can get grating really fast. I sorta hated him until I saw bits of his live in L.A. dvd which blew me away.

I was at that show.

 

John Mayer is ok. Not a huge fan, but he has some good songs. I could do without all the face contortions, and his voice reminds me of a poor man's Dave Matthews.

His voice is annoying as hell when he makes it all whiny and shit like on Continuum. But most of the time he performs live and on a lot of the new album he sings relaxed and in his own voice and it's a lot better. Listen to "Who Says", his voice sounds really great in that one, really chill.

I didn't like this song at all when it came out (sharkfin haircut didn't help), then I looked up the tabs, and realized its really fun to play.
