I went to see Babyshambles last October and also went to see Dirty Pretty things a few weeks ago. Fan-bloody-tastic! :D

Yeah, I love Carl, he's so great. The better Likely Lad, as I use to say.

I've read yesterday they'll release "Bang Bang You're Dead" as the first single about May, album will follow. So there's a chance that they will come for more concerts to Germany, apart from one show in Hamburg as Paul Weller's support act.

I got to see them for free too because I was doing the streeteam thing for the support band. I got one of Gary's drumsticks and a set list....RESULT! (as Nettie would say hehe!)

 

I can't remember all of what they played but I'll post the setlist later today if you like ! :0)

Peter was on stage yeah. There was a great atmosphere. I just had this feeling that i needed to be there. You know? I think he's not gonna ge round for very long so you need to experience him while you can. I have a couple of videos I took with my phone from that gig. Not very good quality but I'll post them for ya anyway! :0)

The lot that were arguing here could out-perv the current perv unit in a heartbeat, and wouldn't let anyone talk about anything else in any thread. In fact, there wasn't any other threads at the time- the entire first page was devoted to body part threads. :stunned::lol::sick:

 

Thankfully they grew up into some very nice (much more sane) people before moving on. I really miss some of them now.

I love jonny but still, sometimes I think that 90% of the talk here is about their looks... and pkay, I love the C&J thread and bla bla bla, but I think that it's all about keeping a balance, I'm not saying that we should discuss just the music, but I think that the coldplay section is becoming more and more superficial everyday

 

and it's not like "if you don't like these threads just don't go there" because the first page of the coldplay section is basically just that kind of threads

I think its atrocious to talk about them like this, because if a guy said "man I'd so be doing her hard" about a female artist he'd get slandered.

I've been keeping myself away from the Coldplay section for months now.. because all the music related stuff are to be found in the live section or on the main page of the website.. there's no use anymore to come in here and have a serious debate about a certain article, or interview. It will most of the time turn into an off topic 'superficial' (just coz you used the term) conversation.

People showed me shocking and disgusting comments about the band the other day.. Seriously, I know hormones can have great effects on a girl's mind, but jeez, have some respect and keep your thoughts to yourself. Not everyone wants to read about it.. and yeah the 'if you dont like it, dont check the thread' argument is definitely not a valid one.. who would expect to read that kinda stuff before enterring a thread. Old members might know, newbies might not!

 

Oh and I find it really interesting that no one's posting as usually so many ppl post in that section of the board .. :dozey:

It's interesting; I don't generally venture into the picture or pairing threads, so I'm probably spared some of the more "extreme" comments. Obviously that cuts off at least half the threads, but I'm able to get some good discussion in the others. Since I'm not a girl, I can't really relate, but I do sometimes enjoy taunting Berrygirls in the Twitter thread all in lighthearted fun. Generally, I'm fine with some of the fanaticism as long as it's contained to the "Phil is Hot" or "Miller is Hot" or whatever threads. Likewise, I'm fine with it in people's signatures as long as it's not vulgar. If we want to balance things out, perhaps the rest of us can generate some more discussion about the music. ;)

 

Great, now I'm determined to think of something... :thinking:
