Mum: So, which one do you like again?

Me: Jonny Buckland

Mum: Who?

Me: *facepalm* The one in the green.

Mum: I thought you would have gone for Chris or something.

Me::inquisitive:

Girl: And they think he's that football player... Errr. David Beckham! Is he? Where you got the photo with him???

Me::wtf: No no, he isn't David Beckham, he's the bassist of Coldplay, Guy Berryman.

Every girls of the store including a gay: He's handsome!!

Coldpotato

I was listening to "Daylight" on our stereo the other day and my mom said that it reminded her of some psychedelic stoner music from the '60s. I don't see the similarities.

My sister is a big fan of Latin music and she's not really into Coldplay. In fact, she's always telling me how their music is depressing and too slow and all that. The thing is when I went to buy my ticket for their Buenos Aires concert, my sister came with me since she was meeting a friend nearby, so we met him and she told him that before going to wherever they were going they had to go with me to buy tickets for a concert and he asked

" Yeah, no problem, what concert is it? "

My sister and me: "the Coldplay concert"

The guy turned to me and said with a disgusted expresssion " you like Coldplay?"

Me: "Yeah, so?"

Him:" They're gay, their music is gay bla, bla bla..."

I just stared at him but remained silent since I thought such a stupid comment did not even deserve an answer, but then my sister surprised me by saying

" Well, she likes them, what's the problem? and they're not gay they're married, the singer, Chris Martin is married to Gwyneth Paltrow. Even if they were gay I don't see the problem. They have good songs, I wouldn't listen to like a whole album, but they do make good music and I like a few of their songs." ( which is true, she likes "clocks", "In my Place" and some others)

Her friend just said "well, it's fine if you like them..." she put him in his place!

I was just :stunned:

Who would say she would end up standing up for them? :D Later she went with me to the concert and said it was a great concert and that she had a great time. She's still not a fan, though and although she keeps on making those little comments about their music and all that I know she does it more to annoy me than anything else.

I got a letter from my grandpa a few months ago with an article about Coldplay, he also send a note that said: "I'm sending you a note about Goldplay!" Haha he's so cute ;)

My dad was mad at me one night and said "All you ever do is listen that band Cold-something and look up pictures of that Chris-whatshisface".

I was like, um, yeah, do you have a problem with that? :dozey:

My mum is convinced the lead singer's name is Christopher Anthony John Buckland. So close mum, so close.

My Godmum on the other hand....

Her: Who are you drawing?

Me: Jonny Buckland.

Her: He's the guitarist of Coldplay yes?

Me: Yupp:D

Her: I saw him on TV a while ago with the lead singer Chris.

Me: YES! That was in Toronto a few years ago.

Her: They are really close.... Are they gay?

Me: .....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Not that I know of.

Her: Oh. They look gay.

Me:....

Her: In a good way. They must truly love each other.

Me: Oh my God.

Just spreading some love :jbcm:

The other day my sister and I were just talking about the bands she likes and the ones I like and she said "oh like the one from Coldplay, what's his name? Gary?"

"Gary?"

"Yes, the dark-haired one"

"Oh, you mean GUY"

"Yeah, whatever. I prefer Gary"

And I was having tea at my mum's while watching the live 2003 DVD and my mum asked me if Chris and Jonny ( or quoting her "those two") were brothers. She was convinced they were because "they really look alike". She was so dissappointed when I told her they weren't. LOL
