My first post in aaaaages! I just felt compelled to say that i've just had my first listen of Violet Hill and I really quite like it! Great rhythm and loving the Jonny-ness. :wacky: :lol:

I like it a lot more than I did on first listen with most X&Y tracks....and that's a very good sign, methinks!

I like it. So, is it a good or bad thing if it takes a few listens for a song to grow on me? I wasn't crazy about X&Y at first, but it grew on me.

 

However, after hearing X&Y several times over the past (almost) three years against my own will, I've grown a bit tired of it.

 

I must say, after the second listen, I'm already liking it, but I'm not crazy about it.

Yesss! I love this song. After trying to figure out the lyrics for the past few hours, I've really grown to like them! :laugh3:

 

I'm almost compelled to say that this indeed is Coldplay's best song so far, at least lyrically. :freak:

Yea i've listened to it like 12 times already it's fantastic. I love the guitars and the kick ass solo. The lyrics are amazing.

I definitely have to give it a few more listens, but I looove the strong quarter note beat. :D Have they done that before? I can't recall...

Yeah I didn't like it that much at first, but now I absolutely love it, after picking it apart trying to figure out the lyrics and such.

I've listened seven times.

 

After first listen, i just thought 'Mmm... not so good as what i expected..'

 

But after i played it twice and thrice, 'Woww... this is good. Really'

It's a grower I think, I've listened to it about 12 times now and I love it!
