You can't really blame City for following the "big-money" lead set by numerous clubs before them (e.g. Chelski).

The game itself is to blame for ensuring that only the mega-rich teams have a hope of winning anything or even surviving in the Premiership long-term.

Name any team that's been there more than five seasons that doesn't have big-money backing in some shape or form.

Teams like Pompey and Leeds even nearly went out of existence trying to keep up with the "big boys" and meet unrealistic expectations.

City are just playing the others at their own game to try to "join the party", that's all.

They are merely a symptom of the "greed disease", not the cause of it.

Ask all those fans who quit United to form FC United.

They will just say it's yet another example of history repeating itself. If City keep going the way they are, maybe their club will be unrecognisable to the diehard fans in a few years and they will depart to form FC City.

What the hell? Just answer the question!

At what point will Man City need to be the world beaters you keep proclaiming them to be? Throwing 2 highlights at me isn't going to negate that question, and the only reason you 'dont even need' to answer these questions is because you aren't articulate enough to express an actual opinion.

So saying that City will be Premiership trophy contenders is one thing, when are they going to be up there? Christmas? Give us an idea, because I know that you don't seem that confident City will be up there. It's this dickheaded nature of City fans and being 'mega minted' as if that's a good thing, I hope you continue to fuck it up and find your owner unwilling to pay these wages and wanting the whole thing to end. City fans are too stupid to think of that.

As much as I hate Man United at least they aren't blind to what's happening to them. If the same thing happened to City fans they'd be blindly enthused by how the owners are Mega Minted and they don't have to worry about anything, they're as gullible as the majority of Newcastle fans.

And how did that answer my original question? Any club could give you 2 matches where their team played well, but thats 2 matches out of 38.

I could have given you more..highlights..

City are already world beaters.

Rememeber Barcelona, Oh yea I here your thoughts and laughter now... just a meanenless friendly... hmmm please go on and goggle Joan Gamper... and see what it means to them.

However I think we should be there... come Monday 23rd August... Hammering the "Skivy Granny Robbers from the East Lancs Road.." will be yet another statement of Intent...

Another statment of intent, and our owners wealth that knows no bounds, is the film we have made of which is going out in the Cinemas nationwide in the forthcoming months.

We spent years being gullible...emm Francis Lee... but no more.. See you guys.. seem to think your club is some kind of republic. Your fans have no basic prinicple of maths, logic, etc and again Keagan... you deluded senseless lemmings, I guess if he tried to take ownership of the cub one day, you would sell your daughters to try and help.

I now personally hope Newcastle go straight back down to the sewer of shite called the championship and below..where they belong... soon as.

GO MEGA MINTED CITY !!

That might well happen, seeing as they're still pretty skint.;)

Another 6-0 landslide for the champions (Chelsea), meanwhile Arsenal also won 6-0 against Blackpool.

Come on Liverpool!

Great point on FC City.

It's true, if the owners of City start pulling back on the money being put into the club, then debt comes up, suddenly the fans don't know what's happening to their club, and yes, history repeats itself.

As for blaming City fans, as I've written in previous posts, I don't. If that amount of money was injected into Newcastle I'd be over the moon, but like anyone with a mind, I'd also be wary of different outcomes and whether or not it's actually good for the future of the club.

The pompous arrogance of dumbass City fans really annoy me, I know some, and I go on forums and listen to phone ins, and this attitude of being 'mega minted' (That is the phrase they typically use) is absolutely disgusting, and Bart couldn't be more stereotypical.

"GO MEGA MINTED CITY !!

Does this not make you sick? He keeps posting the same thing over and over.

If Newcastle were given that much money I'd be happy, but I definitely wouldn't be sticking it in other people's faces. It's the same as earning lots of money personally, you don't go around telling people that you're "Mega Minted" because it's disrespectful and you should be ashamed. If we did have all that money I'd even feel a little embarrassed every they'd buy a Milner, totally not worth the transfer fee (Maybe half it) but as there are few teams like City who are willing to spend way too much money on players, it makes it virtually impossible for other teams to put in a realistic bid (And oddly 'realistic' bids are actually unbelievably high as a result of all this) on talent. Not even big talent, he's a very good player but he's not worth that.

I'm not looking to be brainwashed like you have.

You probably think you aren't brainwashed. Well, earlier in the thread, when I kept putting out points of how Man City are certainly not the picture that you paint (When you were going on about winning the league and shit) after about 10 replies between us you finally admitted that you aren't sure how well Mancini will do because of the language barrier for a start. So that took 10 replies, just to get an ounce of an opinion of negativity about your club. That's a fucking joke.

If something's going wrong at Newcastle, I'll say it, I'm not a moron, I'm not naive. Now there's a situation of something going wrong at Man City, and you didn't say it, I had to push and push for any sort of realistic opinion that you have of Man City, and finally it came out. No doubt there's other things about the club that you're concerned about, but instead of making valid points where can discuss your football club (Which is probably the most talked about team right now, and it SHOULD be interesting to have the viewpoints of a City fan on here, but is isn't) you just post repetitive nonsense about how you've been running the game of football since 2008, where's your trophies then? Don't feel like winning?

On top of the same one liners you come out with about being 'Mega Minted', you keep coming out with this propaganda shit.

You've ignored basically everything I've written, and reverted back to that stupid website. Newsflash for you: ITS BIASED. It's naturally biased, because they want everything to appear rosey as possible, it's the same with NUFC.co.uk which no real geordie actually reads, you only get the real deal at NUFC.com. There's no point reading the official because you know they just want to make everything seem brilliant.

I'm sure there are real football fans out there who support City, and they probably do realise this and get their information elsewhere, you are not a true football fan, you're one of the idiots who want to believe that everything is going to be perfect.

Now, I'll ask again, at what point should City be in the top 2/3? Real title contenders?

Don't give me any bullshit about certain results here and there, I don't care. You finished FIFTH last year, and you think that they're going to win it this season, so even if you do get those results this year, it means fuck all in the long run.

Yes they can turn in blinding performances, big fucking duh, the teams worth about half a billion. But doing it all year consistently, they won't be going to places like Bolton and definitely get 3 points, that's where it matters. The 'big games' essentially don't mean anything, in a title race between United and Chelsea, the 2 matches they play against eachother equal 6 points, there's still 36 other matches to play, and those matter a lot more.

Big squad, big manager, huge names, huge ego's, let's see if City can maintain a team spirit and drive to do well for their club instead of themselves as individuals, and personally I'd say you are totally fucked.

As for the Joan Gamper trophy, indeed you are right, HA-HA-HA!! Fuck me, are you being serious? This has to be a joke.

Reminds me of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teresa_Herrera_Trophy

Now I'd never, EVER, put forth a meaningless friendly trophy as having any relevance whatsoever in a debate, but you've brought me to it by bringing it up. One of the best examples you can think of why City are a success is a friendly from over a year ago?

Besides, our meaningless friendly trophy is bigger:

As for Newcastle, you could well be right, there's no guarantee that we'll be in the Premier League this season, because with the bottom 10/12 teams its pretty much a lottery. There's such a gap between the top 8 and the rest, the bottom half of the table is basically Championship quality, and it's scrapping to stay up.

I'm very sure Blackpool and Wigan will take up the bottom 2 spots, so Newcastle may well by the 3rd team to go down, but I'll admit that because I'm realistic and not a fucking tool.

Ask anyone, they'd definitely put money on Newcastle staying up before putting money on Man City winning the league. At least Newcastle players actually care about the shirt they were and respect what it represents.

Your fans have no basic prinicple of maths, logic, etc and again Keagan... you deluded senseless lemmings, I guess if he tried to take ownership of the cub one day, you would sell your daughters to try and help.

I actually laughed at this! Out loud! YOU calling out anyone's sense of logic or intelligence, and then calling them deluded! HAHAHA

Look at your posts, and realise how deluded you are, common sense and reasoning is out of the window.

you're good !!!!,its gonna take me a while to respond to this, i will have to sleep on it.

A part of me is gutted, the geordies is winning 3 nil , however I am also thrilled Stevie Ireland could be showing reasons why he was shown the door.

BTW I have posted your reply Reilly on a city fans forum, in order to bring them across and particpate in this debate.

Holy mutha fucker!

Newcastle 6 - 0 Aston Villa!!!!!

Andy Carroll hattrick!! INCREDIBLE!

4th 6-0 result and we're only in the second weekend!

Never saw that Newcastle result coming, Bale scored a real sweet volley in Spurs win over Stoke.

Coming upto the last week and a bit of the transfer window, whom else do you think Man City will try to pay over the odds for?

Mancini has said he has stoped shoping now..

Still though the stories in the local press wont go away, about Barca attempting to off load Ibra

Peronally now I hope we stop, unless we make a audicious bid for some one like

Messi or someone along those lines.

We better of waiting now, and see where we are at the end of the season !

................

:stunned: I am shocked by my response...

Yeah right, Mancini will buy some more players (and offload some more) before the transfer window closes

You did that so others could participate in the debate? So far I'm the only one debating.

Anywho, to another matter:

IN YOUR FUCKING FACE! HAHAHA L-O-L RAPE RAPE RAPE! 6-0! SIX FUCKING NIL!

WAAAAHAHAHAHA

Relegated?! BWAARRHAHAHWHRWHARHH FUCKIN CLUELESS CITY FAN!

-OK I needed to get that out of my system.

How Villa will do this season is hard to tell, convincing win last weekend gave an impression that they'll be up to last seasons standard, so I was genuinely very worried we'd struggle through this game, and there we go, 6-0, what about that.

Newcastle's big results always stick in the memory, Spurs 7-1, Utd 5-0, Sheff Wed 8-0, but this one's special. Fresh out of the championship, playing a quality side, and coming out with this result. It's unbelievable, and so beautiful, I doubt I'll be this happy all season, but you never know.

6-0! I mean I keep thinking "6-0!!" in my head all day in utter disbelief, I'm creaming myself over it.

OK, but it is just one result, and naturally Villa can be seen as being in a bit of a mess, and they did miss a penalty before we scored. It could've been different, and it doesn't mean the season is wrapped up for us, we'll still have to work hard to ensure we're safe. But if this does result in a good run, we could be looking pretty safe even by Christmas, from there who knows what we could achieve.

Certainly if Man City won 6-0 against any side, Bart would be totally over react and think they're world beaters or whatever. When's the last time City scored 6?

Welcome to my world !

We beat Burnley 6 1 last season... AWAY !!

We beat Pompey 6 0 the season before

Yeah, that's Burnley and Pompey mate, not fucking Aston Villa.

Basically any decent team can beat a Burnley or Pompey, but Aston Villa are not just decent they are a GOOD team. They didn't look it today, but we took our chances and it worked out great.

I'm actually looking forward to work tomorrow so I can stick this in the faces of every damn United fan in there (Northern Ireland is basically 70% United and 30% Liverpool) who slagged me off after we lost 3-0, they had a penalty at 2-1 up, surely it must be over- he misses! Oh no! But they're still 2-1 up... Fulham score! They drop 2 points! Unlucky!

LOLLACOPTER

Great day for football. And City weren't even involved which makes it better, the entire team of greedy bastards should be put in a rocket and shot into the sun.

Now Liverpool do your magic against Man City tommorow! Roy's boys will pump them!

Yeah, that's Burnley and Pompey mate, not fucking Aston Villa.

Just shut the hell up.

I'm not trying to say that Newcastle are a better club (As we've spent a fraction of what you've spent the last 2 summers), I'm trying to point out how you, and many other City fans, seem to think you are world beaters because you've had some good games.

If Newcastle are in a relegation battle in 6 months, will you find me talking about thumping Villa 6-0? Hell no, because it's irrelevant, just like all of your arguments. I'd talk about the reality of football, you're unable to do this.

Look, mate... good luck.

I am out of ideas now...

I will talk on Tueday morning if we beat the Granny Robbers...

If we dont I sure my silence will speak volumes whilst I have consumed myself in my own shite...

I am up for a major fall, if we get beat by Liverpool .. the whole bar is against me now !

the whole world infact apart from Blues

Look, mate... good luck.

I am out of ideas now...

You never had any in the first place.
