I don't consider anarchists as liberal, I consider them as anarchists. I think being "liberal" has a limit, but I guess that's just what I was taught "liberal" meant.:confused:

I have been following the results from 11 pm to 7 am (GMT+1) at my student organization.

I have to admit Obama's speech deeply impressed me.

As far as I'm concerned, let's have a woman next, then a LGBT president!

I've always been of the opinion that if you keep going past the extreme left or extreme-right wing you often end up at eerily similar places...

I am overjoyed. Every now and then this country needs a great big kick in the ass to get back on track and I think he will do it. His speech was so beautiful. YES WE CAN.

I've never been so proud of America in my life.

And I'm European.

 

It's a big thing, and I really want to believe in Obama and his visions.

Plus, the world will have a more positive feel towards the United States from this day on.

At least America has overcome it's racist past. In the last 60 years, we've gone from Blacks not voting to one being elected, that and the fact other nations will like Obama are the only positive things.

 

Obama will further Bush's failed policies while speaking well. But It'll be fun to watch it all crash and burn, i'm investing in Asia and plan on moving there after we fall.

i'm really happy about the election, well done :) it was great watching all those happy people on tv last night/this morning, it looked like a huge party. plus, i think george bush didn't get any sleep, hrhr ;)

 

so yeah, i'm glad obama won, i really like him and his speech last night impressed me a lot. although i still think too high expectations can easily end in disappointment. but i guess the world will just have to wait and see what happens.

Obama is the man! When I watched his speech in front of the column of victory in Berlin a few months ago I was sure he'll be the right man for America and the rest of the world. All the best for him! :nice:

 

Oh and I'm glad that the whole tv broadcast is over now! Yesterday every single tv channel here had special programs just for the US election while the horrible bus accident near Hannover with 20 people killed got no reference even not on the news channels. :dozey:

This is the biggest sugar-high Americans have had in a long time! I hope the subsequent crash back down to reality is enough to teach young Americans a lesson in politics... but something tells me they'll only plea for more government.

Really, the longer people stay like this, the more lee-way Obama has to infringe on the american people...he's charismatic, and a great speaker, but the speeches content was vacuous. Honestly, McCain could've given that same speech, albeit less eloquently.

I'm delighted, I mean it ! The situation of the US will get better little by little, there's so much to do for the situation to improve itself.
