Viruses (viri?) LOVE warm! The reason people generally get more colds and flu in the colder months is because people gather in more confined spaces then, and viruses are more easily spread. The H1N1 virus, for example, is doing quite well for itelf this summer, but expected to be very wide-spread staring in September, when school resumes for most.

Thanks guys for confirming that you can catch the flu in the summer! So if you think about it...when the guys are doing all these shows...your immune system has to be weaker the longer you go at this pace! So maybe Chris was in that situation and had contact with someone....

Did you guys really need to CONFIRM that though? I am not on Coldplaying.com for a science lesson.

my first ever coldplay concert... possibly cancelled... what are the odds...

:disappointed: *cries for real*

They are going to reschedule! Cheer up!

Great...on top of everything else this weekend, now I have a herpes ad in the pic with me and Will. And I made it to Atlanta- there were several no shows and I got on the plane:(. I'm so bored I paid for Internet access. 3 hour layover

Ha ha, I've been getting the herpes ad for a long time, but I never talked about it. I thought everyone was getting it. It is so funny a big and flashy "Got Herpes?", now is under your post :)

off topic but omg the add above is for dating peeps with herpes? yikes
It was up the day the show was canceled. Mel and I were laughing because the band's web site said "canceled for medical reasons" and we both giggled and said Teh Coldplays got teh herpes. :P

Well I am finally home. My gate changed 3 fricking times in a 10 minute span and I ran all over the Orlando airport. The place was packed with all the bloody Ratland visitors. They over booked and offered vouchers if you took the 8:30pm flight and I thought about it, but at this point with the way things have gone, I was sure that 8:30 flight would get canceled or something and I would end up sleeping at the airport, so I said fuck that and got on the flight.

So I'm at the airport now. :( I did offer to give up my seat for a $400 delta voucher. That would get me back here within a year. So Everything's Not Lost

Yes, there's still hope

Dianne, it was sweet talking with you!!!! Hopefully we shall all meet in the pit one day!!

Does anyone know if Livenation is doing refunds yet Or do they wait until they hear word one way or another? I will get my refund for sec.8 and then re buy better seats. Hopefully:kiss:

Live Nation says refund will be given once a new date has been announced, AND if you cannot go on the rescheduled date.

Yeah, my sister will be out of town, so I guess I'll get a refund for her ticket, and probably mine as well. I rather buy a ticket the day of the concert, you know, when it's a 100% sure that's happening :dozey:

Besides, I am sure people won't buy Pit tickets.

Sorry

Congrats on you 1300 post!

I am not going to this gig anymore, I guess LiveNation is gonna wait until Coldplay gives the rescheduled date and after that you can get your refund.

Oh, are you still coming for U2?

:laugh4: Distrubing, isn't it??

hey again guys...sorry if another thread was started on this...but now that Tampa has passed...what about those free concert cd's we were supposed to get! argh! i downloaded mine when it came out of course..but i was hoping to be the one of the lucky 20 that got the autographed version! maybe for the tampa crowd they can autograph more copies! oh well....we can all dream can't we?

Yes, dare to dream!!!

There are many fans pissed for real. They need to make it up

I vote for:

A) being on Halloween --> bat confetti, and roadies wearing costumes

B) going to Latin America afterward

C) a longer concert --> hey, Green Day rocked for 2 hours and a half on Monday

D) more signed copies of LRLRLRL

E) letting the fans who show up early to enter to the soundcheck

:smug:

it's like got milk? but it's got herpes?

Yeah!

Still, ewwww

So wait, we can get a refund for our tickets, and maybe hopefully try to get better seats by buying new tickets?? or buying seats that are less expensive etc...

that's what the email from LiveNation said. Refunds will be given to those who cannot attend on the rescheduled date once such date has been announced.

But, yeah, I know I have to sell one of my tickets because my sister is an RA at her university, so it's kinda hard to ask for permission, even on weekends.

And I honestly would like to get refund for both tickets, I could use the money.

then, I would buy a ticket the day of the concert, when it's a fact that it's happening :P

Don't make fun of the herpes dating site, those people also have the right to have a partner.

LOL you're right people with herpes are people just as much those of us without herpes. :laugh4: I just love how it says dates others with herpes, at least they wouldn't be spreding it to others that don't have it... :)

what if it was

got the coldplay? date others with the coldplay

c-date.com

Where can I sign up?? :D

If I were you I'd be quite amused. That's not somethng you get everyday!

What? The notoriety or herpes?

Yes, there's still hope

Glad to hear you're home, safe and sound, Angie. I love your observation (in bold italics above)! I can relate to that feeling completely, having given up offers of free anytime/anywhere tix like that because I just wanted to frigging get where I was going! Angie, you definitley rock! Take care of yourself now that you're home and can get some rest!

What is it with everyone wanting to leave FL today? I ended up on my original flight thanks to the 5 no shows so I didn't get the voucher.

p.s. Angie, I loved your blog on the Texas concerts. I felt as if I were there. I remember your saying you were waiting in your car, polluting the Dallas air to have air conditioning. I'd like to catch up on it if you've written more.

It's weird that I feel incredibly depressed about the whole experience of yesterday's show being canceled in Tampa even though I wasn't directly affected. I feel for my fellow Colplayers. I don't recall feeling this despondent in a long, long, time.

So I just noticed I got a tweet from some news guy in St. Pete wanting to know if I wanted to be interviewed on camera regarding the postponement - oh well, too late now.

Greetings from Tampa
