I'd like to sight see on Friday. its about 20 mins on the tube from what I remember. if you're sight-seeing get a day ticket for the tube. can then walk/take the tube depending upon your mood. if you've got a day tube ticket, you can also get a discount on the river boats between the Tower of London & Wesminster/London Eye.
