:stunned: I didn't even see Chris's parents come out! That's so awesome that you got to talk to them and that they were so kind. That whole family just warms my heart :wacky:

I got two pictures with both you and Chris in the frame, though!

They're not fabulous or anything, but let me know if you'd like the full-resolution versions :nice:.

Chelsea, you are wonderful! Thank you for taking these shots!

You can see him signing the guy's shirt in the first one.

And in the second one you can see me looking - well, adoring. Isn't he adorable?

That's our beautiful AnnaElisabeth over my shoulder in both pix. He wrote a LONG note to her when he signed her ticket -- said he saw her in the crowd from the stage!

Yes, if you can send me full resolution versions I would appreciate.

How is your journey home for Christmas?

This was only my 2nd Coldplay gig, the first being the MEN two years ago. It was amazing, brilliant night from start to finish.

One question - The video of Christmas lights that Coldplay have put up is professionally recorded, was the whole gig recorded and is it going to be possible to purchase on DVD? I'd happily pay a good price for a proper video momentum of the evening.

really dont think so:(

Yeah, we've had our hopes raised for a live dvd so many times, but I really don't think it'll happen with this concert - perfectionist Chris made too many mistakes :p

They probably just filmed it for their own personal archive - maybe they'll review it when they plan the next tour, it might help them pick which songs to keep in (if Phil reads this, Shiver went down reeeeeaaalllly well, didn't it :wink3:)

Coldplay singer dines with the homeless

By WENN.COM

Chris Martin snubbed an aftershow party following a Coldplay charity gig on Monday night, instead choosing to dine with a group of homeless singers.

The band played a show at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, England to raise awareness of men and women living on the streets in Britain.

They performed with a choir made up of the homeless - and Martin chose to eat with them after the concert rather than attend the official aftershow meal.

A source tells Britain's Daily Star, "Chris had a load of homeless people singing in a choir for his gig and he thought they were so amazing he wanted to hang out with them after.

"He went backstage, snubbed his celeb dinner and ordered 12 giant pizzas and 25 bags of chips for them all to eat. His security were desperately trying to get him to leave and go back to his dressing room, but he was having none of it."

EDIT:

Second source, here they say it was Newcastle!

I know I'm a bit late but...

What a fantastic gig that was - I'd forgotten how good a show Coldplay put on. They thrived off the energy of the small venue and it felt as though I was really part of the concert and not simply watching them. For those people that tell me Coldplay are slow and boring, this show proved otherwise - it was lively, full of hits and packed with energy. I didn't think it was possible to get so into Fix You that you could smash a microphone stand!

Highlights:

  • Shiver - what a beautiful song - I've been singing it to myself ever since the gig. I can't believe that it has been out of the set for so long.
  • God Put A Smile Upon Your Face - packed full of energy. Jonny and Will were really going for it by the last instrumental part. I don't know how Will managed to stay on his stool with the way he was jerking about banging the drums as hard as he was.
  • Chris signing my ticket after the show - I came out of the pub, saw a large group of people waiting at the stage door so I joined them and within 5 minutes there was the Chris Martin. No-one's commented so far that once he got into his car it sped off and jumped through a red light...

Lowlights:

  • The number of obvious mistakes that were made in most songs. One or two I'd forgive but for so many to occur, especially in songs they've been playing professionally for up to ten years, was disappointing. Politik, for example, lost its atmosphere when Chris descended into cursing under the sun at forgetting the words.
  • The set was far too short; it felt like it had ended no sooner than it had started. Songs like Speed of Sound, Talk, Lovers In Japan, 42 all seem to be popular yet were not included. The only song that was played that I would have taken out was Cemeteries of London.

I think this was before he came out. One of the security people told us pizzas were delivered to the venue, so that's what they were for :nice:

It was fantastic! We have the opportunity of spend a few minutes talking with the band and Phil, and taking some photos with them! They signed everything we wanted! I'll upload some photos of the meet and greet!

Few people, quite atmosphere... something special! Never forget!
