Ok, seems like rumours are in order. . . isn't it a bit suspicious that quite many information have 'leaked' since the announcement of the work on a new album? I really doubt Chris would be so open and even careless about the information pertaining to LP6 when it is only in its infancy. Even if what he said were true, that doesn't mean they'll go back to their roots or anything.

I remember Chris in 2009 said "We are making an acustic album that we want to play in little place", but after they written Paradise and changed art-direction, so maybe the old concept of MX is gonna be the concept of LP6 (happy-acustic album).

But was he in 2009 that open about it?

Chris is a crazy bastard that keeps changing his mind every day, don't take anything he says about the future too seriously. Maybe he has just thought about making a folk album two hours ago and now is thinking about this awesome idea of doing dubstep, or even better, a soundtrack album to be played on elevators!

I for one would like to hear a bagpipe on the next album, hopefully that's the mindbowling idea (yes I did just type mindbowling on purpose)

I know many won't agree with me, but I really wish they could make an electronic album, or something similar to "Don't Let It Break Your Heart". I wish they keep reinventing themselves. MX's songs feel rushed but as much as people hated it, the sound is the best of this album.

 

I'm hoping there's more electronic on their next album in an authentic way like the grimes or M83. I also think they have potential. Seriously, that paradise beat is exquisite like RnB or dubstep idk, but it was breathtaking.

Yeah I bet that opened your eyes. Listen to the songs closely, they might even have ripped them off. The chords are almost the same.

There's not a limit of using synths and electronic sounds. They can make whatever they want as long as the material is good; that's what I expect for LP6, good songs. The electronic sound is just a whim I have.
