I liked Viva, some amazing songs came from it (Lovers in Japan, Strawberry Swing, Viva la Vida) but for some reason it didn't feel like coldplay. I swear that if VLV didn't exist, MX would be the new "it doesn't feel like Coldplay" album. To make MX, VLV was necessary. It would go like this: "almost acoustic" Parachutes A Rush... Round 3: Cemeteries Of London vs. Paradise Oh common these an't even the same style of song. Round 4: Viollet Hill vs. Major Minus Oh I missed these ones- oh will I'll vote for none. Round 5: Viva La Vida vs. Charlie Brown Oh finally one with simular styles, deap down I want to say Charlie Brown but I believe they are good songs so another tie. Each song is a chapter....they all come together to tell a story that is the book. Viva la Vida is like a collection of short stories. The songs where related but only in theme, not in story. Good album, but MX is meant to be heard all the way through. I feel that to take one song and compare it to Viva would be like taking one chapter of Lord of the Rings and comparing it to a story in a collection of short stories. My opinion.
