There isn't a single song on MX that's better than any song on Viva. Okay, maybe the three best songs of MX (for me that's Us Against The World, Up With The Birds and UFO) are better than the worst song of Viva (Lost!). But that's it.

 

See! This proves it! You stated the 3 best songs on MX where the only acoustic songs on the album! Cant you see they've progressed?! They will NEVER create a Parachutes 2 stop holding on to that, and just accept MX for it's greatness and the band for their ambition! And lost! is a great song!

Overall I really think that most of Mylo's tracks trump Viva la Vida's tracks in individuality. But as a whole I have yet to determine whether MX does top VLV in the long run.

MX is a good album, but I must admit I think Viva is >>>>>>>>>>>>>

So, i think i'm one of the few who thinks MX > VLV... i loved VLV but i think that, as an album, MX is better

Same for me. When VLV came out I absolutely hated it and I even stopped listening to Coldplay 'till the next release later that year. Now I do like Viva but maybe it's just because I got used to it.

I'm finding it hard to accept that I like MX better than VLV!

I agree with this, totally. There no songs as ingenious and creative (Indian strings) as Yes on MX. Made me realsie what a great album VLV is.

I like both of the albums , MX because its got parachute feeling acoustic songs and x&y feeling songs like CB ,HLH,DLIBYH and UWTB. But i love VLV too because its got no flaws, MX does it has Every teardrop and Paradise , but still i also like them , but they're just not of great musical value.

My main problem with MX is that it is too pop centric! Its just too candy floss sweet , without the darkness and mystery that made viva la vida such a masterpiece. I mean cemeteries of london is my all time favourite track! I wish they would give their minds a rest about this pop-y mix and do the proper rock like in VLV or even a rush of blood to the head!
