And Trey Morgan, the radio DJ who started the rumor, appears to be 100% sure as well.. I'm unbelievably excited. Two songs in one week and all the mystery surrounding it.. I'm on a constant high :lol:

CONFIRMED: COLDPLAY's new single will be released Monday!

 

I just heard from Atlantic Records that COLDPLAY is releasing the first single from their sixth album Monday morning at 3am (pst), 6am (est).

From what I am hearing from other sources, the song is called Magic.

According to a Swedish newspaper, Chris Martin and the rest of the guys are here in Los Angeles finishing up the music video. It's being directed by Swedish director Jonas Akerlund (Madonna “Ray of Light”) and actor Peter Fonda is part of the shoot too. Their follow-up to 'Mylo Xyloto' is due out this Spring.

ALT 98.7 will play it every hour as soon as when get our hands on it Monday. Be sure the tune in!!!

that was just my opinion.

I think Chris or the others would never tell anyone about a surprise realase, it doesn't make sense, why plan a surprise release and then ruin everything telling everything to some fans? Sometimes Chris can't keep his mouth shut but that's too stupid, even for him

This all so sudden! Not in a Radiohead way but still sudden based on how the band have released stuff in the past. It's been different as we haven't even had updates from Roadie #42 like we did when MX was being made, which I miss reading, apart from that It's awesome!

It's a little hard to believe because it isn't the usual way of things (too soon after Midnight) but I'm really hoping I'm wrong because I'm damn excited about LP6 and its new sound. :D

I've got my fingers crossed for a Monday release of Magic. I haven't been this excited about a band's single since the lead up to Every Teardrop is a Waterfall! I just hope that this single isn't followed with disappointment...

^ I highly doubt they're real. They've been floating around, and apparently Chris called them fake when the girls who met him the other day asked him about them.

I don't think they are the actual lyrics, too be honest. Too much direct "oh I'm so in love" and not enough metaphores.

I dont think one direction would want those awful lyric in their songs.
