Based on what?

I generally favor the implementation of acoustic songs, and I'm sure there will be. However....

acoustic song like We Never Change, Green Eyes, See You Soon:

acoustic song like Us against the World, UFO, Oceans:

nothing of course except impatience

Let's just say I have a source ;)

alright.. here we go again :)

I really wouldn't mind if we got songs like Oceans, UFO and UATW. I love them! But it would be 1000 times better if we got songs like WNC and GE. I miss those a lot and it would be nice to hear that side of Coldplay again. Oceans was very close to that "old" feeling imo.

"I live to see the world"

To be honest what disturbs me a bit about the latter set of acoustic songs is Chris's singing voice...

I agree with you in Oceans. It is weird (I still like it tho). But I think it's good in UATW and UFO.

the second thing is, I also believe acoutic songs must have a really good melody to carry the song, because there is so little else in it. This is why some of the older acoustic songs like Til Kingdom Come or Now my feet won't touch the ground are not among my favorites either.

^^^ Although I still think Chris is an awesome singer, I feel like his falsetto isn't as "pure" as it once was, which only makes sense as he is getting older, nothing he can do. Songs like Shiver and Fix You that use a lot of falsetto just don't sound quite as sharp anymore. I really hope that Chris tries to counter this by using his lower register, as I believe that's one aspect of his voice that's actually gotten better through the years--take Murder vs. Yes, for example.

Plus, it would give us something fresh, as there really aren't that many songs in which Chris uses his lower registers (I can think of Yes, Murder, Moving to Mars, maybe Violet Hill, a few places in ARoBttH, and that's about it).

EDIT: because a couple people ninja'd me before I could post :P

Well, everyone has their own opinion (I've learned that pretty well here). While Til Kingdom Come and NMFWTTG aren't perfect (nor close to it), they sure have something very likeable. Something that attracts me, at least. I wouldn't mind to hear some songs like them in AHFOD [emoji4]

I want more "Yes voice"!!! I think it's one of the songs where Chris's voice is more beautiful [emoji7]

Agree on the falsetto. If you compare Fix you with True Love...I know a lot of people love Chris going for a lower register, I prefer his higher register so it's been sad to see this "decline", if I may call it like that.

Do you people know Lhuna ? It's also a song where Chris sings in very low register. I'd guess you'd like it !

The source being your wishes ? :D

(I'm still saying Aug 17, and my source is my wishes+seems plausible) ;)

Why 17 though? Why not 18 or 16?
