They are currently discounting a lot of new releases (not Adele of course lol). They even sampled President Barack Obama singing “Amazing Grace.” They meant business this time around, and the sales reflect that; while the album’s chart position was upended by Adele in several markets, A Head Full of Dreams brought Coldplay their highest first-week album sales since 2008.
