The Fray have revealed that Coldplay inspire them to "do better" as a band. The Colorado four-piece, who scored a top five hit with 'How To Save A Life' in 2006, were blown away by the English band's Viva La Vida album. "Viva La Vida is amazing! Some of the sounds on that record are just incredible and that's what I find inspiring," drummer Ben Wysocki told DigitalSpy. "They're not just turning out melodies that you can sing to in the shower, they're progressing into different sonic landscapes and collaborating with different producers." Recall in an interview i beileve was in november or early december. They said they were going to ditch the outfits because they stink for the 2009 continum of the Viva tour. What do you think they are going to wear/suggest they wear? For me it would have to be going back to normal jeans and a t shirt.

I've been thinking about this for a while. How do you think Coldplay will be remembered after like 20 or so years? I mean they're pretty huge now. And to me, like their music is the best stuff ever. But I still don't feel like it's going to be legendary among the public. And think the perception of the band is too negative for them to be truly appreciated for their music and what not. So yesterday I was driving along listening to "Prospekt's March/Poppyfields". Recently I have been feeling very down indeed. Made redundent and broken up with girlfriend...... Here's a video I recently directed and edited with a team for a contest in Canada, to win technology for our high school's history department. It was quite random how this video came about, but we spent more than two months just stripping down one big complicated video. We then found ourselves having two hour-long philosophical discussions about technology, with it's pros and cons. My friend sent me a link to this tonight: http://djearworm.com/united-state-of-pop-2008.htm It's basically a mashup of all the top hits of 2008 (in the US, at least), but the whole thing is based on Viva la Vida! :dance: So yeah, you take the good with the bad I guess, but being backed on top of Viva la Vida makes some of these dumb songs sound so much better! :D

There was a day when I was getting really down. A lot of crap was going on with school/family/etc. I was getting quite near depression. I then came on here and saw the Lovers In Japan video was available on iTunes. I was like "cool" So I went there and saw it was a free download. I then watched it, the most amazing 3 and half minutes of music video I may ever have seen. When it was over, my whole mood was changed. I was suddenly happy, optimistic, and just joyful. It reminded me why I listen to Coldplay in the first place. Now whenever I feel down I just listen to the song or watch the video and it brings me back. Does it have this wonderful effect on anyone else?
