If you could interview Coldplay, or any of the members specifically, what would you ask them/talk to them about???? Personally I would be too busy trying to make my way on to Mr. Berryman's lap to be thinking about what to ask him...;):D

She wants rockier edge... Leona Lewis is keen to work with Coldplay on her second album, according to reports. The former X Factor winner is said to be looking to give the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Spirit’ a “rockier edge”. “Leona would love to work with Coldplay and knows Chris Martin likes her voice,” a source told the Sun newspaper. “She would love to sing a duet with him. If not, maybe he could write a song for her. “Chris is open to all kinds of music and isn’t at all snobby about what some see as cheesy pop.” Lewis has previously spoken of her plans to work with a number of bands on the project – although she refused to name which ones. As previous…

Classical imagery is the newest idea in album cover design, judging by the winners of this year's Best Art Vinyl award. The winner and the third placed entry are both adaptions of well known paintings, both centuries old, while in second place there is an original work that is designed to look like an adapted classical bust. The winners were announced after 3,000 people voted in an annual competition organised by the company Art Vinyl, which compiled a shortlist of 50 new album covers from 2008. Newcomers Fleet Foxes, a five-member indie rock group from Seattle, took first prize for the cover of their eponymous debut album. If the image seems familiar, it is beca…

I am really hoping someone can help me here. I have been a Coldplay ever since I first heard the song Yellow, and to me, no one compares to them at all. I saw them live in concert in July (in Montreal, Canada) and I still can't stop talking about the concert. I loved it sooooo much! Lately I have decided that I want to obtain every album/single/ep that I can possibly get my hands on that Coldplay has released. (I know obtaining Safety is not an option) Thanks to ebay, I have been gathering everything up fairly quickly. I now have everything they released besides for their White Shadows single and What Is single. What I am hoping you can help me with is...can someone pleas…

I have a question. In the newspapers or in the press i have read that chris & gwyneth live in the london's belsize park. Is that right or wrong? The house from them must be very big or not that someone could see it from outside that someone from the promis or stars live in there? And i have read that chris sometimes walks around there. however i was in march last year in london for holiday and looked around in the belsize park but noc chris martin no house from them it seems to me and a very big city part, too big to walk around there.

SUPERSTAR DJ Sander Van Doorn wants a bite at Robbie Williams' comeback album. The Dutch beatsmaster could not believe his luck when Robbie gave him permission to use his vocals on dance track Close My Eyes and now hopes to land a production or remixing role on his next album. Sander told Email: "I reworked We're The Pet Shop Boys from Robbie's Rudebox album and sent it to his management. It turned out Robbie was thrilled with it and was happy for me to release it. I'd love to work with Robbie in the studio some day." Sander also has his eye on a few other big names. He said: "Bands such as U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay have been huge influences f…

Hi all. I'm not a big Coldplay collector so looking for some advice on this CD I've come across. It's a BMG Music Publishing sampler from 1999. 2 CDs, 10 tracks on each. Track 9 on CD 1 is Coldplay's Bigger, Stronger. It comes in a special orange six-panel gatefold sleeve. This would have been issued when Colplay signed their publishing contract (before their Parlophone record deal most likely) and such samplers are mailed out by the publishing company to promote their songwriters (others on the CDs are Rob Dougan, Bush, Devine Comedy, Faithless, etc.). These are short run pressings - my guess would be 1000 were done. Certainly not more than 2000. Anyone else…

Please don't answer in this thread. PM your answers to Jenjie by 23:59h GMT on New Year's Eve (31st December). I'll then announce the winners & give you the correct answers on the 1st January. DID WE FORGET TO MENTION THERE'S A PRIZE? You can win a copy of IQ Magazine with its Coldplay tour special. This year we've decided to do things a little differently. Instead of the usual "see how fast you can search Google and PM the answers to Jen" Quiz, we decided to really test you!! Not sure how many of you know the quiz show "Family Fortunes" but that's the format of the quiz. For those of you who don't know, this is how it works. We asked some very rand…

Coldplay, Duffy and the Kaiser Chiefs will all perform on the Top of the Pops Christmas special, it's been announced. The winner of this year's X Factor Alexandra Burke, Girls Aloud and Dizzee Rascal will also appear on the show on Christmas Day. As previously reported on Gigwise, the BBC cancelled the Christmas show earlier this year because of falling viewing figures. But the corporation later reinstated it, along with a New Years special. Burke will perform her cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' on Top of the Pops. The singer will be crowned the UK's Christmas number one this weekend following her huge exposure on the talent contest. http://www.gigwise.com/…
