I'm 16 years old, and Coldplay came out when I was around 8, but I first found out about them because Clocks was in the Peter Pan trailer. So I was hooked on them from that point on, which was probably age 11. Whenever I feel sad, and don't want to talk to anyone, their music gives me advice and do my parents job when I shut them out. Coldplay and their music has been with me since I was 11 years old and they will continue to stay with me until I am out of high school, so in a way, I feel like they raised me during my childhood and they also made me who I am. I just thought I'd share that :)

I wonder how many Coldplay songs you guys have? And if I'm missing songs? I have now 104 songs from Coldplay on my iPod - but some are double, because of the Live 2003 CD, and including some Christmas songs that Chris sings. Am I missing songs?

I have had this amazing album from day one but I'm finally going to ask this question. I have seen many pictures of the actual cd saying "Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends" on the front near where it has the tracklist but mine doesn't. Are all the US CD's like that?? I mean it looks kinda weird to look at the front of the cd and just see a tracklisting with no title. It's almost like its missing.

That's right peeps, I was talking to a Doctor and a scientist at lunch today, and they both gave me proof that Coldplay are the dirge of music and are for gays!!! I know, I was devestated by this news, but it's TRUE! They both asked me to REALLY listen to some songs and said 'they are so boring I want to kill everyone here and some bunny rabbits!!' After he said this, I realised YES they are awful and boring and need to be taken out of the music industry. He then played me some Black Crowes and I saw the light, thank God. Praise be to the Black Crowes and saving me! Remember guys, I'm only the messenger so please don't take your anger out on me!! I'm sure it's go…

Back when Rolling Stone reviewed Viva la Vida, they said that in the last section of DAAHF, there was flute. Where is it? P.S. I had to put this here instead of the DAAHF section because it probably wouldn't be viewed as much! Thanks!

Gary Barlow thought Chris Martin was "taking the p**s" when he said he wanted Coldplay to support Take That. Gary, 37, was amazed when the usually serious musician revealed his love of the boy band. He said: "It's amazing! I think Chris wrote it on his website. We thought he was taking the p**s, but he wasn't. He's genuinely a fan!" Chris' original posting read: "I would open for Take That. We were in the dressing room the other day and, for whatever reason, we started singing 'Back For Good'. "We sang the whole thing, word for word, with all the right chords on our piano, without having to learn it or anything. It was great. So I'd like to use the Coldplay website…

After the tidal wave of hype that brought so many new band's to the worlds attention last year, 2008 was always going to be the year that welcomed the return of established names. And with new releases from Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West to name but a few, that was certainly the case. But, as our Top-50 albums of 2008 shows, there was still a considerable surge of new talent which, alongside the big-guns, helped provide yet another unforgettable year of album releases. 18. Coldplay - 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' - Coldplay could have spent the last two years recording nothing but white noise and still achieved the multi-million sales …

OK, now that I've got your attention, I can get on to my point. First off, in the spirit of full disclosure, this is where I'm coming from. I am not a Coldplay fan, though I have nothing against them. They seem to have some decent catchy pop music that appeals to a lot people and that's cool. I am a casual Joe Satriani fan and have seen him live several times over many years, but his music is not my favorite by a long shot. More importantly, I am a musician with graduate degrees in composition so I have a pretty good handle on how music works and the writing process etc. I've been following this Satriani vs. Coldplay thing and read a lot of varying opinions by …

Don't you think it would be so cool if they made a tour DVD, but each song was from a different concert?! For example, Cemeteries of London would be in D.C., because it was halloween, they could have Glass of Water at Antwerp, Life in Technicolor ii at Birmingham, or Lost! at Chicago, etc!

Hi all, Just listening to the chart show Radio One at the mo and Fearne & Reggie have been talking about filming the TOTP special today, I think it was the New Years Eve one they mentioned, and meeting Coldplay there....dunno if the band have filmed 1 song or a mini-set but should be worth checking it out on new years eve !! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7738180.stm ^old-ish link about TOTP coming back for xmas, doesn't mention specific bands :( They mentioned Chris was really chatty and jokey, followed them to their dressing room after and had his Barack is the Future teeshirt on. I'll keep listening incase they mention any more :)

CRAZY STORY Okay, its not that good. But I like writing random stuff. So today, going out to the car holding Viva in my hands. Its been really windy here today. So all of the sudden a huge gust of wind blows the album out of my hands! To my horror, the CD flies out, the booklet flies out, and the sleeve inside the case that holds the CD flies out! So in my head I have to decide what to go for first. I thought that I might not be able to retrieve all 4 pieces. So first I went for the CD. It blew into these trees in the middle of the cul-de-sac about 20 feet from where I was standing. Then I go for the CD cover. It flew 5 houses down. It took me a minute to f…
