Snakes escape on Qantas flight An Australian airliner was grounded after four baby pythons escaped from their container in the aircraft's hold. The snakes, just six inches long, were among 12 Stimson's pythons being flown from Alice Springs to Melbourne. At first it was thought the reptiles may have been eaten by the other snakes, but this was discounted after they were weighed on landing. Passengers were transferred to other aircraft. The jet was fumigated but the snakes' bodies are yet to be found. On April the 15th, 1989 on a sunny, warm day in Sheffield, 96 football fans lost there lives in a catastophic crowd crush at the Hillsborough stadium. Hey everyone. I have a few friends who were recently laid off from a pharmaceutical company due to an acquisition. They join the millions of Americans who are out of work during these tough times. Ten men have been arrested as part of a counter-terrorism operation across the north west of England. Addresses are being raided, including an internet cafe in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester and a guest house in Clitheroe, Lancashire. North Korea has defied international warnings and gone ahead with a controversial rocket launch. The rocket blasted off from the Musudan-ri launch site in the north-east of the country at 0230 GMT. North Korea said it was sending a satellite into orbit, but its neighbours suspect the launch was a cover for a long-range missile test. They strongly condemned the launch.
