Lincoln - 9.7/100

Really excellent acting and historical accuracy.

A 9.7 out of 100 isn't that high. Anyway, I'd like to see this one.

Breaking Dawn Part 2: 8.5/10

Explanation?

My latest one was Up. Excellent Pixar movie, I'd definitely rate it 8-9 or whatever.

^ I enjoyed it, it was funny and the ending was totally unexpected since I didn't read the books.

Did you watch it in 3D? I heard that the 3D version isn't that good.

Hobbit Visuals 9/10 Story 5/10

I love Peter Jackson, loved LOTR, loved the actors in The Hobbit, but I found the story poorly edited, with a lethargic pace. The visuals though were stunning and 3D 48 fps should be the new standard. I hope your experience of it will be more fulfilling :)

Basically everything I don't like about American cinema crammed in one film

Premium Rush 8/10

My cousin said "simple story, interesting plot". :D

The Hobbit - 9.5/10.

I'm a fanboy so obviously biased, but genuinely enjoyed it. Different from LOTR yet still a homely, nostalgic feel. Highly recommended. Better than Return of the King, but just about falls short of The Two Towers as there is no major set-piece, ie. Helm's Deep.

Brave 9/10

now I'm totally in love Scottish accents

No, it was the premier, and I'm not a big fan of 3D

I watched in 3D, with 48 frames per second. looks strange at first, almost videogame-ish, 'cos it moves faster than regular films, but doesn't spoils the movie :)

^So, should I watch it in 24 frames per second or 48 frames per second? What's ideal?

you're no fun william :(

The Hobbit - 10/10 I watched it in 3D and I was fascinated. The plot is well-thought-out.

I think I would've enjoyed more in 24 fps (u lose small details in 48), but if you're curious about it, go watch both versions! ;)

I feel exactly the same. The 3D, and the whole film, was phenomenal. I'm the kind of guy who usually hates 3D, most movies don't look any different. But the depth of field for this (the shire comes to mind first) was absolutely stunning. I couldn't really notice a difference with the frame rate though:shrug:

I also thought the non Hobbit stuff in the film was great. It wasn't "filler" like I feared it may be. Jackson also did a very good job changing the tone to fit the Hobbit, while still keeping it similar enough to LOTR so it was believable they were in the same universe. There were also a lot of fun things I thought he would leave out but made it in the movie, which was a real treat to a big fan of the book like me. I don't want to spoil anything but you won't be disappointed with this film!

10/10 (And I don't just hand those out mind you!)
