Yep. I discovered them thanks to Chris mentioning them in X&Y era interviews as an influence (or notably in Toronto 2006 "God gave you style and led you higher/God gave you the music of the Arcade

Yeah I got into Coldplay first and then slowly started getting into Arcade Fire. Once I started to realize their similarities and that Coldplay toured with them during the LVL era, it made me become a

Yeah, I followed a path similar to yours. I am a big fan of VLV and MX (the "midplay" era, ahah) and when I discovered that Coldplay mentioned several times AF as an influence during that period, I st

That one doesn't mention the title and the new one looks more album cover-y.

When they were interviewed on NPR the other day, they talked about the album cover and they were discribing the one with a car. So I guess yours is not the album cover. I like the one with the car better btw :nice: !

Wonder why they're using Frank Lloyd Wright's Johnson Wax Building.. Pretty Cool anyway.

And yay tracklist! Finally!

I checked with the Arcade Fire oracle (or more commonly known as the ArcadeFireTube guy) and he says that the house/car one is the confirmed album cover.

The reason I was doubting this is because the house/car one doesn't mention the title of the album and you almost need a magnifier glass to properly see who the artist is. I wonder if they'll keep it that way.. :nice:

That one doesn't mention the title and the new one looks more album cover-y.

In addition to what Alice said, lots of albums don't have titles on their covers. Heck, I don't think Neon Bible did either.

I wonder that if anyone else noticed 2 weeks ago when they released the artwork that when you clicked on one it took you to a jpg that said "front cover".

Excited. I like how there are 2 songs that have two parts. A lot of continuation of the themes of Funeral it seems.

The Suburbs to open it. Interesting.

I think The Surburbs will be a great opener, I love the way that song starts and I think it will roll on to Ready to Start well.

I've heard none of the demo's/live versions or studio versions of the new tracks since i always wait for the album and i'm really looking forward to it. if it matches neon bible i'll be happy. if it reaches anywhere near funeral i'll be thrilled. obviously i hope it's good on it's own merits and isn't too similar to either but you get what i mean.

Both albums are Great,indeed.

I am going to try to see them the next time they come to Los Angeles. They are one of the few bands that rarely comes here. I missed them when they played at the Greek Theater, which is a very intimate venue. It's one of the few bands I like that I haven't seen live.
