I don't need to see the kids, as that seems to bother both of them, but for them to pose together at the VF party would have been awesome, they are both so lovely to look at, I think a pic like that would have burned my eyes!

 

I've tried to see the slideshow on the VF website, but it's not really working, anybody get a chance to view this? Any pics we should see?

Oscar winner or Oscar loser, anyone can break even at the Academy Awards' most exclusive after-party — anyone who's been invited, that is. And so another year of Vanity Fair madness came to pass, with magazine Editor Graydon Carter hosting a new crop of film honorees, luminaries from politics, art and fashion, and even some royalty.

 

The Sunset Tower Hotel was a glamorous war zone of barricaded fans, tinted SUVs and paparazzi Sunday evening as folks made their way to the fete from the telecast in Hollywood.

 

Carter had first welcomed 130 guests for dinner and the show, among them Amy Adams, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, Bill Maher, Les Moonves and Julie Chen, Sofia Vergara, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde, George Lucas, Tom Ford, Jane Fonda, Claire Danes and Chris Martin.

After "The Artist" claimed best picture, dinner tables were cleared and doors opened to the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, who joined husband Martin for a cocktail. Paltrow wasn't shy about her admiration for several famous guests, at one point retrieving her smartphone and asking Steve Martin and Martin Short to take a photo with her.

Ford modestly told us the dress’ success had a lot to do with how Paltrow carried herself in it. “With that dress, you need to own it,” Ford said. “And she owned it.” Paltrow also did a good job of owning the section of the room where she sat with her husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, the ever-sexy Jane Fonda and her man, Richard Perry. The table became a destination for a procession of sultry stars, including Paltrow’s good friend Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz And Reese Witherspoon Are Ryan Murphy's One-Hit Wonders image

Glee creator Ryan Murphy, who has dabbled in film by directing Running With Scissors and Eat Pray Love, is returning to the big screen with a musical comedy One Hit Wonders, and Deadline says he has five major stars tucked under his arm and ready to begin work on the film.

 

Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce and Andy Samberg are attached to the project, which Murphy says he’d like to direct after The Normal Heart, which he’s preparing to make with Julia Roberts and Alec Baldwin.

 

One Hit, set up at Sony Pictures, would star Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz as pop artists who all had one-hit wonders at some point in their faded careers and decide to team up and form a supergroup. Samberg would be responsible for coming up with original music for the film, while Beyonce, I’m guessing will play a variation of her pop-sensation self, maybe as a rival for the other A-listers.

 

This could work. Witherspoon sang her way through Walk the Line. Paltrow has guested on Murphy’s Glee before and has an admirable set of pipes. I'm not sure about Diaz, but Beyonce can sing enough for three ladies (just ask Destiny’s Child), so there’s no doubt there will be musical talent in bucketloads on the set.

 

But when will we see it? Murphy’s going to sit down and write the script, which was born during a dinner party according to Deadline. He’ll collaborate with his Glee staffers Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. But then they’ll no doubt tinker while Murphy goes off to shoot Normal Heart. Will the script take shape? And will all of these talents still have time in their schedules once Murphy’s ready? There’s a lot that can happen between now and then, but One Hit Wonders has potential, if everyone involved can pull it off.
