July 12, 200817 yr Heck, do they listen to The Beatles? U2?? It's just all great music - Coldplay's the latest in the lineage, and as interesting artistically as they are just great to listen to; and so why is it that you have to listen to rap to be accepted? They have no taste in music if they can't just enjoy music, but have to somehow get approval from their crowd. That's just BS!:P
July 12, 200817 yr X-rays because of a pulled muscle?? I are confuzzed! Must be they suspect a hairline fracture.. Gee, that's no fun! Glad you keep in shape, as it really does make life good! Hey, the kayaking sounds like fun!! Yes, I have heard that too, actually - so the secret's out, but just most NYers are too busy to realize it! ...And so you chase the cute guys on bicycles I gather?? Hmm.. good way to keep in shape! Aw, comeon! Why don't you catch one and find out? hehehe if you think youre confused so am i. they arent sure exactly what on earth i might have pulled/torn - sooooooooo the x-rays will tell me. ugg im pretty sure its not going to be pretty. if i end up in chicago with a f-ed up leg im going to shoot myself. and i have a bunch of shows this coming week - so basically thats not an option. my friend pointed out tonight - hey jumping up and down to Cut Off Your Hands even with the lead singer checking you out, is NOT good for the leg. hahaha shes onto something. if youre ever here kayaking the hudson drop me a line. and im way too slow or out of breath looking like hell hath run me over. hahaha it actually might work, but knowing NY'ers --- oh theres no way in hell. if you happen to be in chicago for lollapalooza - we must say hi. and yes - yellow is a perfect nature song. it reminds me of california when i could hit the beach and spend all night staring at the stars.
July 12, 200817 yr I was just perusing the 'top graffiti' on the graffiti application on facebook and came across this.... really good... (by some dude called Victor Stubor)
July 12, 200817 yr this evening, my whole family and me watched the Coldplay live 2003 DVD. It was so fun. You should've heard these comments.... my mum said Will looks so angry as if he would shatter the drums :D she said johnny looks as if he was on drugs :laugh3: my sister told me chris fucks the piano :P and in the end, when all the band-member names were listed, she asked whether guy was gay... she's only 12 years old and mixed up the english words "guy" and "gay" so he thought his name is gay berryman ;)
July 12, 200817 yr i had a dream where i punched gwyneth across the face then made out with chris. is that sad, or is that sad? :D
July 13, 200817 yr I was talking to my mom (recently converted to CP by me:D) about something before. I started out a sentence saying "I used to..." and we both immediately shouted "RULE THE WORLD!" We were in a restaurant and everyone started to look at our whole table weird. What a great moment:D

July 13, 200817 yr I was walking my dog down a trail, and at a house along the trail, were two people sitting on the porch listening to Strawberry Swing. So I yelled out to them, "ITs suuuuch a perfect day." And the guy was like, "yeah...". It was tight. And I went to a party the other day, and they were wondering what movie to watch. And luckily I had my live 2003 DVD in my backpack. So thats what we watched. Amazing!
July 13, 200817 yr I was just sitting here Coldplaying, and the news was on in the background, and all of a sudden I heard Chris singing The Scientist, so I turned around in my chair and got to see his pretty face on the big screen! *swoon* :D And then the news dude was like "This Friday, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Coldplay will be performing as part of their Viva la Vida tour." ....and I got all excited. *looks down at sig* :wideeyed:
July 13, 200817 yr During my random travels today I came across this: Well I had to take a picture, obviously  Then at dinner in Miso, I ordered the Mixed Seafood dish, which low and behold... ...was number 42 on the list  To which my brother said, "Oh my god, everything we do seems to be linked with the number 42!" He's so right... did I mention our house number is 42? Yeah. :P
July 13, 200817 yr Which came first the dish or the number? :PHaha, it was the dish actually, because that's what I always have when I go there :P. But this time, I couldn't help but notice the number... I just find it funny that its been under my nose the whole time
July 13, 200817 yr i think because of the song title "amsterdam," AROBTTH has always made me think of amsterdam and holland ever since i first heard it. of course, i'd never been to amsterdam or any part of the netherlands when i first heard the album, but it just was what i thought amsterdam and holland would be like. now that i'm actually here...i have to say that i can't get that album out of my head. my mental image of amsterdam put into my head with AROBTTH was shockingly like what it really is like. off of that, whenever i listen to "the scientist," i think of a top-floor room of a canal house in amsterdam or somewhere in the netherlands, with cut-out windows (i don't know what they're really called, but windows on a slanted roof that aren't slanted, but in their own sort of box) letting in lots of light. the room has pretty much nothing in it besides a piano, and is painted white. besides the piano part, the top floor of the house i live in here in holland is pretty much the spitting image of the room that i always imagined with "the scientist." i'll take a picture and post it soon, but it's just weird :P.

Yeah. :P did you go to london today? :cheesy: haha, well 42 has been popping up a lot more with me too, but i've been consistently followed around my entire life by the number 21, which is half of 42...but i think we already had the 21 conversation :D
July 13, 200817 yr This morning my mom and I were in the car and I usually listen to my iPod to drown out whatever she's listening to [bTW: VLVODAAHF is a perfect driving album!] and I drowned out Homecoming!! I also drowned out a little snippet of Chris Martin talking about working with Kanye too, my mom told me after the fact. :dozey: I'm surprised a rap station played that. But my mom said that Chris Martin was talking about working with Kanye and how everyone thinks they're brilliant put they really aren't. I said Kanye and Chris WERE brilliant and my mom said, "See, Chris Martin has class, he doesn't like to show off, but KANYE thinks his music is better than everyone elses when it really isn't." Aaaaw, I'm not the only one who thinks Chris has class.

It is fairly close to london I guess, but I'm planning to go either tomorrow or tuesday :nice: Haha, by the way I saw a small shop in a mall today called "Muffins Bakery", but unfortunately we were being ushered out by security because the mall was closing, so I couldn't get a picture  But it made me smile at the time :P
July 13, 200817 yr aww, yay, muffins! so far i've managed to establish that the dutch word for muffins is "muffins," so i still get strange looks when i utter that every time i miss a tram or slip in the rain :laugh4: and the kids think its absolutely hysterical that i say that, but it's habit now. no stopping it now :P
July 13, 200817 yr muffins is actually quite fun, we used to say "chips" when we were not allowed to say shit...

That's hilarious :P I hope they weren't ripping into each other today :dozey:
July 13, 200817 yr ohh, they were. it's a constant battle with them :dozey: haha, "chips"! that actually sounds like "shit," so i see the point. i like "muffins" because there's no chance of anyone mishearing that as a curse :D coldplay is played quite frequently on the radio here, or at least more than i think they are back in america. so far in two weeks, i've heard three coldplay songs in various places :D
